Agree. A fast lad up against a slow lad looked good when he wasnt falling over the ball. He was pretty dire facing away from goal tbh.
Thought he looked good. Lots of potential. Agree end product needed improving but looked a real threat. He’s only 19 remember. He’s not going to be banging in 25 goals and 20 assists a season yet otherwise he’d be at a huge club. Remember Salah and Mane weren’t pulling up any trees in terms of end product until hit mid 20s. With some more coaching guy could turn into very good player. Certainly add some more pace and directness. one thing I think Salah mane Jota all lack is a trick. In a 1v1 they can use their pace but they don’t really have a trick to stand people up and go past them when space is limited
Bar mane does that regularly but then misses the target, sure you have a good point there and in general any other option we have at the club lacks that "tricky" winger type skill. Firmino has tricks but has no pace so we dont get to see the result enough I would still prefer a pure finisher though. We make chances but miss them.
Doubt this was true to begin with but if it was, the timing couldn't be worse now. He's been excellent in the Euros so his price will have risen
I haven't seen it in the context of a few seconds before, only the contact itself. It's hard to imagine what the hell he was thinking going in like that.
I think he renamed the guy. Scarface Seriously though gabriel jesus deserves to be dropped in a Chile fan zone at 2am for that. How the Chilean guys didnt beat him to death as footballers and teammates I dont know.
I saw it on the highlights and they didn't show what led up to it. Crazy from him. Emotions certainly run high in the Copa. He was red carded in the Copa final in 2019 and pushed over the pitch side VAR as he left the field.
I dunno I'd be very disappointed in my team mates there. Theres 5 lads there and not one took a swing. The lad must be very unpopular
