Nothing new here but below highlights the payment structure for Ben Davies ...

Liverpool want Ben Davies, who will cost an initial payment of £500,000, to be one of two defensive signings before the transfer window closes at 11pm tonight and have also discussed Duje Caleta-Car, of Marseilles | @_pauljoyce
 
Also - rumours that we’ve reignited our interest in Botman again, which makes sense because we could be using Marseille / Caleta-Car as a smoke screen to force Lille’s hand with Botman (there was definite interest in him earlier this window).

If we can get one of the two in, brilliant. It addresses both a short and long term need so it’s not a stop gap solution. And then we bring in a RCB in summer (Konate).

We really need to be getting Hendo and Fabinho back into the midfield, so more options at the back can't hurt.

Kabak on loan with option to buy in summer seems to be mentioned now. Were linked in summer as well so seems less panic.

Whoever we sign, we'll have scouted them for over a year. We'll have reports and stats from at least fifty games on them. No player will be signed without research. Its the Liverpool way now
 
Liverpool are thought to be close to winning the race for Ozan Kabak's signature. He could make his way to [HASHTAG]#LFC[/HASHTAG] on loan until the end of the season, with an option to buy set to be included in the deal. but [HASHTAG]#LFC[/HASHTAG] are also looking at alternative options. Kabak is at schalke medical centre... assumptions a medical is being done there ahead of the move

this is the most exciting transfer deadline day that I can remember for a few windows.

James Pearce - [HASHTAG]#LFC[/HASHTAG] in talks with Schalke to sign Ozan Kabak but no deal yet in place. Would be a loan with commitment to buy. Been told Liverpool still have "a few plates spinning". Other options if they can't get Kabak.
