Bogdan signed. Why do we even bother? Is this seriously supposed to be our competitive number 2? The owners are gearing up to sell us when the stand is done next year. This summer is already starting to reek of it
 
What's wrong with bogdan as number 2? Cheap option for someone that's going to get very little game time.

Rather that hat then spend 5-10m on someone else
 
LIVERPOOL REACH KOVACIC DEAL

Liverpool have reached an agreement with Inter Milan over the deal to bring Mateo Kovacic to Anfield, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Reports suggest Brendan Rodgers will pay €23m for the Croatia international.

The number 1 is probably the 4th best keeper in the league behind courtois, de gea, lloris and begovic. Came 2nd in golden globe and kept 8 clean sheets in a row at one point and improved dramatically in the 2nd half of the season when a stable defence was in front of him.

No no need to replace or drop him

hes es hardly ever going to play, maybe the odd cup game. Hardly going to make much difference.

I honestly don't get the mass hysteria...
Bogdan, he's bought into replace Jones...
Ings is bought into be a replacement for Lambert and Borini, which based on his goal tally alone last year is an improvement.
Milner, wanted by Arsenal and City threw silly money at him to keep him..

The window isn't even open yet and people are already throwing in the towel and slagging off the club...
Come 1st Sept and if we haven't added quality then these comments maybe valid.. but give them a chance until then.

I think some context is needed here in the dismissal of bogdan as Bolton no 2.

First he joined Bolton when jaskillinen was their no 1 and took over from him and was actually their player of year.

Last 3 years

41 games
29 games
10 games in final year.

Does anyone actually know the score why he was no 2 in the end?

I don't. .. loss of form... no contract renewal???

I'd prefer to know why he was before dismissing him as just ****.

How did he do at the Oscars?
 
I know Bogdan is not exactly an exciting signing but it is a step up from the departed Brad jones. I would rather get Bogdan on a free than pay £10M on a back up keeper. I would imagine we are working on a limited budget so any spare money we do have should be spent on a striker and a right back.

He stayed in the same hotel as us on our hols last year. His kids are all very talented footballers. How is that relevant?
 
Put it this way, would people rather we spent nothing on bogdan and Milner and used that extra 15m to go towards a quality striker?

or spend 5m on bogdan and 10m on another young midfielder and then not have enough money to spend on a striker?

freebies for 2nd keepers is a perfectly decent option and a guy that played well and is an international keeper
 
People moan when Rodgers spends lots of money and say he shouldn't be trusted with money...

then em complain when we pick up decent deals on a free.

Point out the players history. He had been no 1 after jussi.. why was he seen by guys who don't follow Bolton as their no 2. Is it superficial dismissal of a player?
