As third and fourth options go, Lovren and Matip aren't bad tbf

 

tbh spurs young lad Sanchez is just as dodgy as either but nobody seems to call him out as he's playing for spurs and "has potential"

 

TAA & Gomez have made mistakes and not been criticised (apart from on here, obviously) much because they've got potential.

 

When has Gomez made a mistake?

 

Plenty of positional issues. His pace gets him out of a lot of scrapes.

 

As a RB he made a few last season. As a CB he's been very good....can't recall any mistakes tbh

 

Positionally, particularly when playing RB

 

that's cos he's got back in time mostly.
