Henry 'to replace Bruce at Villa' Steve Bruce is reportedly on the verge of leaving Aston Villa – with Thierry Henry sensationally lined up as his replacement. The former Hull City boss is to meet with new Villa owners Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens tomorrow, with his future set to become a lot clearer after those discussions. Reports in the Mirror and the Star claim that ex-Arsenal legend Henry will be appointed at Villa Park should Bruce be moved on after losing the Play-Off Final a few months ago at Wembley.
Well done villa. you are really struggling financially. In crisis in fact so you decide I know... lets sack the steady (dull and ****) manager and appoint a guy thats given up reportedly 4/5mil a year off sky and has **** all credentials as a coach and zero experience. Really... thats an AWESOME job. at going bankrupt after being relegated to league 1 come next may.
They’re not bankrupt they got investment now. Still have to sell to buy but not as bad as it was 2/3 weeks ago
It’s brinkmanship. We enter the last 3 weeks of the window. I guarantee that these players will be plan b’s or c’s for some teams. Not everyone will get who they want and occasionally, injuries occur in ore season that could potentially scupper a seasons plans. By putting a decent price on them, we avoid ridiculous lowballing and a starting position is much higher. Reality is origi will go for £15m, as will ings. That’s if the valuation has even come from the club in the first instance!!
I do not think Thierry Henry will do a better job than experienced Steve Bruce.Thierry Henry left sky job £4m pa. How much is he going to earn at Villa?.
Football transfer rumours: Liverpool to sell £26m Divock Origi to Valencia? https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...iverpool-to-sell-26m-divock-origi-to-valencia
you are right. the David Dickinson's of the football world will be about looking for"bargains" 16 days and it'll all be sorted one way or the other.
Basically nobody will pay up for him. If we sell dirt cheap or let go for free then he’ll have a loyalty bonus due. So he’s staying and will go next July 1st. In the meantime we keep him happy and motivated and give him a few games if he’s fit and on his game and it’s still a happy camp. Such a waste of real talent, on his day he was very good.
If he's happy with a supporting role it just strengthens the squad, keeping him fit is always the problem.
The only reason he is featuring right now is because Ings is definitely going and Firmino isn't with the team yet. Will we only keep him if there are no takers, but I think someone will come in within the next couple of weeks. Regardless we could do with another Firmino attacking mid/striker
I really can't see it but who knows. If someone comes in and they represent a once off chance for the lad to screw another club... sorry get a 4 year contract then we shouldn't rebuff all offers and keep him. it'd be grossly unfair to not share the pain of paying this guy for 4 years with someone else. then the issue becomes that if klopp really is hoping sturridge can be no 2 to firmino (he must be high) and we sell origi and ings and then this bid comes in what do we do. solanke kept til end of transfer window then loaned out? just in case?
