Klopp doesn't like loaning players out either, he's said previously that he prefers to keep them close so he can monitor them

Lallana would be more likely to ask to leave rather than be pushed out. Klopp likes him. He was basically first pick until his injuries. It's a shame how far he's sunk since tbh, I really liked him. Having already bought Ox, Fabinho and Keita since his injuries and looking at one more to come in still, he knows he's not going to get close to being first choice again, so can't see him wanting to stay. I hope he does though, I think he can do a good job and having a bit of energy, ball possession and ability to drop a shoulder to beat a man off the bench or being used for the games we should walk over to rest the others.

He's been awful lately, but the guy's barely played any minutes and is way off the pace mentally rather than physically. Plus no idea how much his injury has affected him long term.

Liverpool are still locked in negotiations with Lyon over the transfer of Nabil Fekir, despite reports in France suggesting the forward would arrive for a medical at Anfield on Sunday.

Lyon are understood to want close to €70m (£61m) for the 24-year-old who has had an outstanding season for the Ligue 1 club, scoring 23 goals and providing eight assists in 40 appearances in all competitions, while Liverpool’s valuation is around £50m

Inclined to agree, can't see us spending so much on a keeper

Liverpool have launched an £78.6million offer for Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak, according to Don Balon.

The Spanish football news site claim that the Reds have submitted the big-money offer, which would break the record for the most ever spent on a keeper, but don’t share the Spanish giant’s response.

Lol I don’t dislike him - I think he’s a tidy player but I get frustrated with the hype because I think he’s all style and little substance. Dwells on the ball, kills attacks, doesn’t have an eye for a pass, isn’t a goal threat. He has a lovely touch and ball control but then doesn’t have the intelligence to take it the next step.

Such a shame because I think with the right coaching at an early age, he could have been immense.

I do believe when Keita and hopefully Fekir join, we will see what progressive, quality midfielders look like, similar to VVD impact on the defence.

Keita and Fekir are brilliant at beating players either by dribbling, skill or passing through the lines. Not to mention their ability to support the attack and make runs into the box. It means our front three are more likely to receive the ball in dangerous areas rather than having to drop deep to get the ball.

The main reason why our midfield is so poor is because of its inability to get the ball up the field. None of our current midfielders have the ability to either run with the ball or play through the lines. Our main playmaker is by winning the ball high up the pitch and catching teams out. That’s well and good against teams who like to have possession and push higher but it’s very hard to execute when a team sits back and expects us to play through them.

At the end of the day, I don’t want to sell Hendo/Lallana etc (yet!) because they are good squad players to have. The signings this summer will take us to a new level though, which is why I’m so excited.

there is no hype it is just a reaction to unwarranted criticism.
Personally I will wait till i've seen them playing well for us for a number of games before becoming too excited.
