Meanwhile, Markovic is angry at Liverpool for pricing him out of a move. In other news, Markovic refuse to take a pay cut to a level deserving of his 'talent'. Go figure....

Pep Guardiola is ready to sanction the sale of John Stones this summer, with Liverpool and Arsenal among the clubs thought to be keen on signing him, according to reports. The English centre-back has found himself further falling down the pecking order since the arrival of Aymeric Laporte in January, having already been behind Vincent Kompany and Nicolas Otamendi. City splurged £47.5million on the centre-half two years ago and would expect to recoup all of that fee with a sale but Guardiola is reluctantly willing to let him leave. While he has talked up the 24-year-old regularly, Guardiola does not believe Stones has progressed enough to warrant a first-team place and he does not want to hinder the former Everton defender’s development, according to the media

He must be nearing the end of his contract by now. He joined in 2014

It run out in 2019. he still has a year left.

he bascially wants a free and us to keep paying him cos he is that bad he can't even get a ****e prem team to take him on his 35k a week wages!!!!

its really unbeleivable. he is fishing for clubs in the lowest rated leagues but can't see the lack f effort he's put in has led him here.

This just shows the dangers with have club recruitment handled by idiots. they get lads of bad attitude or inpet talent.

Since klopp arrived

look whos shown the door and look at his signings... not all of his buys are world class by any stretch but there not one you'd say has any bad attitude

Marko Grujić injury prone but seems to have a decent attitude to work.
Kamil Grabara youth
Sadio Mane great work ethic if a little wild
Loris Karius works very hard for his chance. not saying he can improve on it or anyhting but he's worked hard.
Joel Matip professional, no issues.
Ragnar Klavan have to give him his dues for how he goes about the job of journeyman 4th cb. came in and played lb there v everton and did well
Alex Manninger did a job, no issues
Georginio Wijnaldum works hard, is a busy player, not a great talent in terms of confidence but does his job and works away.
Mohammed Salah worldie but has such a great attitude.
Dominic Solanke hasn't whined about chances.
Andy Robertson great work ethic
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain real leader type.
Virgil van Dijk huge talent, seems to have settled in and leads the back line

the outs
Jordan Rossiter wanted first team. that was his choice. an odd one.
Joao Teixeira again was given a chance but was on the edge so he decided to go chase other chances
Jerome Sinclair attitude stunk, has done nothing since.
Sergi Canos thought he was it and wanted 10k per week before his career started. hasn't done much
Martin Skrtel time was up but a good pro.
Jordon Ibe didn't work out for him, bit dim., hasn't set world on fire.
Joe Allen time was up, fantastic price. a great pro too. wanted to play and found his level
Brad Smith sunk wihtout trace. couldn't defend.
Christian Benteke lazy sod, bit of a whiner too.
Luis Alberto has done ok but again wasn't prepared to put the work in here.
Mario Balotelli nutter.
Tiago Ilori again lazy and sunk wihtout trace.
Andre Wisdom doing ok but found his level. well reported to be a bit of a lad.
Lucas Leiva wanted to play., his time was up here. we all wished him well.
Kevin Stewart what would astro say here? [HASHTAG]#thatwentwell[/HASHTAG]. good attitude but not up to it.
Mamadou Sakho stinker of an attitude
Philippe Coutinho sulker :bandit: klopp didn't want him to go but off he went.
Cameron Brannagan kid again decided he wanted footballso cut himself off from opportunities. hopeful he will make himself a career
Lloyd Jones another kid who was not going to make it.

The damage poor recruitment can do and the improvement good recruitment brings is stark.

I'd rather buy 5 second tier players with the right attitude than 2 top tier players who think they are it. we have proved time and again that when we get the right one they move to top tier over night.

From Markovic's wiki page regarding his loan move in January to Anderlecht...........'It was admitted that upon Markovic's arrival his fitness and
condition was so poor that he would miss up to six weeks of game time in order to get up to standard' <doh>
