Monaco will consider offers for France midfielder Thomas Lemar this summer. Arsenal and Liverpool have both been linked with the 22-year-old. (Telefoot via Team Talk)
Manager Jose Mourinho says Manchester United will not "do anything crazy" during the summer transfer market. (Sky Sports)

Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius is set for a new contract just months after heading for the scrapheap.

Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez will seek talks with owner Mike Ashley before signing a new contract. The Spaniard wants to ensure there is enough money for summer signings before committing to the club. (Telegraph)

According to Portuguese outlet O Jogo, Liverpool are chasing a summer swoop for Sporting CP playmaker Bruno Fernandes.

What’s the story?
The report from O Jogo claims Liverpool have already met with Fernandes’ representatives, and are planning a huge bid to bring the breakout star to the Premier League.

Fernandes has enjoyed an incredible season with Sporting, and Liverpool have “regularly” sent scouts to watch the 23 year-old in action.

The creative midfielder has a €100m release clause, but the Reds are hopeful of securing a deal for much less.

Yep, just like some guy called Aspas who has torn the Spanish league apart for the last few years, but of course he once took a **** corner in the PL so clearly not good enough
Aspas has done well back in Spain, but I think 'torn the Spanish league apart' is a little strong <whistle> :bandit:

Nah he's tearing it up alright. Think hes averaged 20+ league goals since he's been back there

Does a lot more than just goal hanging too .Runs the channels and links up play

His average is around the 20 goals per season yeah, but that cannot be described as 'tearing the Spanish league apart' <laugh>

Messi and Ronaldo do that

no he's not
Seville:
2

Celta vigo
14
19
16

thats an average of 16 goals in league for celta and if i were to be totally cruel its 13 per season in total

its not 20.

his highest ever total was 223 which was two seasons before we bought him. he got 19 ONCE since. so no he's not actually the worlds greatest player as booby says.

And no by extension he's not like Chelsea letting salah go and making them look stupid ;)

Lol I didn't call him world class you clown. Didn't realise he played so much for Seville.

Just knew he had been scoring a lot of goals for Celta.

He must have slowed down recently as in first half I knew he was close to being top goalscorer in the league.

Lad looks good gets as many as firmino

he was mostly a sub and in europa to be fair :)

It's simply a fact that he's very comfortable at home in celta vigo where he belongs and sometimes the big fish in the small pond suits players and they look better for it. celta are comfortably mid table and happy to be so.

Frankly if you can't see the difference between the two you'd have to start questioning something here <whistle>

If you looked at bare stats alone you'd think vardy was a world beater too.

vardy
23
13
17

he's got 20 gaols total this season but we all know that thats about. leicester are mid table too....

theres nothing wrong in saying good player and all that but its still big fish small pond.

comparing to firmino is pointless as firmino does a different job. its a different style and approach and mo salah is the one running behind getting the tap ins ;)

firmino has 25 goals total (15 in league) and 14 assists (7 in league) so firmino is obviously **** cos he's scored less than aspas and vardy then...

clearly thats what the bare stats say.

Its all about how the team does and as klopp would say firmino fits like the arse on a bucket.

I don't think he's all that as a no 9 tbh but that doesn't matter cos thats not his job is it. Salah is playing the no 9 role half the time in our system.

sometimes its just the wrong time ,wrong manager or wrong club for a player rather than any lack of ability.

Yup, players either get a chance and they take it or they don't.

It's a shame as i've seen aspas quite a bit and he looks pretty good. Maybe big fish in small pond syndrome but like salah with us, he never really got a proper run, especially as he wasn't brendens signing.

i felt sorry for him tbh as i thought his early games showed some promise which then gradually disappeared.

223 in a season? We should sign him

Did you really just say that <laugh>

Was in relation to getting a proper run in our team. Mourinho didn't really play him like aspas with you boys. A game every 10 games plus 5 mins at end of games don't really count or help

you've missed what i marked in bold. you just called your team a small club.
