Salah won't leave so soon, he's just arrived and he's clearly enjoying himself.

People are just getting paranoid because of those Barca ****ers.

Suso rumours going about, good player but this will be nonsense.

So we could 'do a Pogba' then?

I haven't followed him much since he left but he was always going to be a cracking little player and it was only Coutinho keeping him out that made him leave imo.

I'd have him back but not as the 'marquee' Coutinho replacement that people want.

yeah lazy journalism that. obvious cos theres nothing going on that the guy just went to the old player pile.

Goretzka
kieta acceleration
a few PSG players

old lfc players come good

thats why the strootman link stuck me as odd. not what a hack would do to sell papers.

for me He was a great young player but once he got to firsts he looked lost.

He was able to play of either foot as u18 and was very classy but we never found him a role in rogers 4231 style. right wing was never him

He's not coutinho though.. he's more of a classic spanish ACM, silva lite i suppose.

Why Liverpool might not miss Philippe Coutinho as much as people think
Anfield feels it has lost its key man but statistics do not back that up and suggest that, while Barcelona have signed a fine player, Jürgen Klopp has alternatives

[HASHTAG]#cult[/HASHTAG] @Tobes

don't make me post the actual facts again. Zhnjinho doesn't like long excellent posts ripping bullshit to shreds.

Of course we will miss him.

But we've vvd, salah, mane and firmino. with keita to come thats 5 of the 11. add in gomez and matip as good enoughs and thats 7 of the 11.

Liverpool have placed Atalanta forward Alejandro Gómez on their wishlist for the January transfer window.
The report claims that Liverpool are looking into the signing of Gomez after selling Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona.
Coutinho completed a record £142m move to Barcelona last week, leaving Liverpool with a hole to fill.

Philippe Coutinho completed his record-breaking move from Liverpool to Barcelona - but will not be able to make his debut for three weeks due to injury.

Coutinho signed a five-and-a-half-year contract with Barca on Monday to finalise a transfer that could be worth up to £142million to Liverpool.

Coutinho also missed both of Liverpool's opening two games in 2018 with a thigh problem.

The issue did not derail his move to the runaway LaLiga leaders, though, and he put pen to paper on his contract before being officially welcomed to the club by president Josep Maria Bartomeu.

While his total transfer is worth £142million, the Guardian report that £36million of that is made up of performance-related add-ons

- £18million is due for Coutinho's first 100 appearances for the club. Barcelona will pay £4.5million at each 25 match stage.

- £4.5million will be due for if Barcelona qualify for the 2018/19 Champions League.

Liverpool are set to hijack Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s potential move to China this month.

According to The Mirror, Liverpool are interested in Aubameyang and are ready to make their move.

Because, naturally, teams would like to offer Liverpool a deal after they know the Reds are flush with cash.

thats basically automatic payment of most of fee just staggered over time then. I presume its impossible he doesn't play 100 games. just needs 2 good seasons.

the win the CL stuff is a bit much now but that 9mil i suppose we have to write off as a bonus

Hope you are right and you have a great track record :)
I accept that the players will want to move on as it stands
That needs to change though - and that will only change by winning things
As others have said it is a compliment these clubs are coming in
And it’s healthy we have had quite a few in recent years.
Is it something we can’t ever change now - is la ligament to big a pull now
Ronaldinho left Utd ?
Is it the wages - will city lose say de brine to Barca
I think the answer is no
De brut e is a better player than Salah so y no interest from real ?

My view is speculative.

Salah prob does want to play for Real.

Real are in trouble.

BUT are Real ready to take a punt on a one season wonder?

I don't know but i do know he's got a 5 year deal with no release clause so they can bring a big big cheque.

Its not so much the wages though... but we have got salah on 120k or so which is an absolute steal now. mane is on 90k. Of course they want more.

City wages are not out of line with most

Kevin De Bruyne 26 £160,000 4 Years (2021)
Sergio Agüero 29 £220,000 2 Years (2019)
Rahim Sterling 22
£180,000 3 years (2020)
Ilkay Gündogan 26 £120,000 3 years (2020)
David Silva 31 £160,000 2 Years (2019)

for example

its not outrageous compared to barca

Gerard Piqué 30 £165,000 2 Years (2019)
Javier Mascherano 33 £130,000 2 Years (2019)
Jordi Alba 28 £100,000 3 Years (2020)
Nélson Semedo (New Signing) 23 £75,000 5 Years (2022)
Alex Vidal 27 £60,000 3 Years (2020)
Sergio Busquets 29 £180,000 4 Years (2021)
Paulinho 29 £120,000 4 Years (2021)
Andrés Iniesta 33 £165,000 Last Year (2018)
Ivan Rakitic 29 £130,000 4 Years (2021)
Lionel Messi (new deal) 30 £500,000 4 Years (2021)
Luis Suárez (new deal) 30 £290,000 4 Years (2021)

Coutinho is meant to be right in topping the lot of these guys at 250k along side dembele

Sergio Ramos 31 £200,000 3 Years (2020)
Raphaël Varane 24 £100,000 3 Years (2020)
Marcelo 29 £100,000 3 Years (2020)
Daniel Carvajal 25 £85,000 3 Years (2020)
Casemiro (New Deal) 25 £90,000 4 Years (2021)
Toni Kroos (New Deal) 27 £200,000 5 Years (2022)
Luka Modric 31 £180,000 3 Years (2020)
Isco 25 £70,000 Last Year (2018)
Marco Asensio 21 £75,000 5 Years (2022)
Cristiano Ronaldo 32 £365,000 (After Tax) 4 Years (2021)
Gareth Bale 28 £350,000 5 Years (2022)
Karim Benzema 29 £150,000 2 Years (2019)

City pay as much or can pay as much ad so can utd.

We can pay 200k per week to one or two players.

well... if they win this year its unlikely next year type of thing no?

Iniesta is nearly gone.
messi is 30.

they've a clear run at league this year..
real look out of it.
bayern in chaos

its either barca or PSG to my mind this year for CL? english clubs are getting close but city are not quite there yet.

Its be a bonus 4.5mil in a couple years time imo no really to be depended on like the rest of it. I presume unless he's a total mare he will get 100 appearances.

(hasn't the time for 25 this season i think)

He's been playing well and gets a fair few assists, doesn't score many though.

nowhere.

thier wages are murky due to bonues and various sites report different things

the reported figures include

50k to alli
65k to rose
100k to kane (i thought it more)
75k alderweireld
120k eriksen
120k lloris

bascially the are a complete bargain but the bonuses must be sweet or they'd all have pulled a VVD by now
