What about Sturridge to Southampton on loan ??

That's been around a bit

Good for him as he'll play more, if he's fit, with the WC coming up. Could put his price up as well if he turns it on and if we sell

The Lemar stuff is everywhere but it's probably made up. His injury record is terrible we're talking Sturridge levels here it would be a massive risk if the fee is high.

Totally agree. There is nothing to be gained by selling Coutinho this month at all, especially NOT to splurge it on an injury-prone, cup-tied, over-priced Lemar. Insanity. I'd rather have Ford on strike.

It's all speculation and he may well not be available but Draxler makes so much more sense, the fans would **** at the prospect of getting him and Coutinho would be soon forgotten.

I wouldn't want anyone striking.

I agree about the cup-tied part but the money doesn't matter imo. Money in football is done, the amounts being paid are so ludicrous that it clearly doesn't matter one bit.

I'd like to have it sorted now for the summer though with Coutinho going and Lemar coming. Moving now is ridiculous for all parties involved.

At 22 can we say for sure he'll be injury prone? I don't know his injury history....is it that bad?

I'd push hard for Goretszka, Lemar or Draxler. Get one of them (or 2!) done and ready.

Wrong.

It’s 66% the figure you’ve quoted includes amortisation and was quoted by Marca <laugh>

https://www.forbes.com/sites/kurtba...istory-of-sports-at-770-million/#4107e40b7e82

The last published figures came BEFORE the sale of Neymar btw, a sale that only went through due to their inability to refuse.

In short, you’re talking balls mate

oh so you believe the marca headlines now do you :)

the ones designed to soothe the furrowed brows of the barca faithful?

I see you cannot deny the messi figures or the fact that all that neymar transfer fee and more went right out the door.

no problem mate.

http://www.marca.com/en/football/barcelona/2017/10/27/59f245d546163f605a8b4614.html

there you go another marca story

let me quote for you

"Aworld record budget may have been presented by Barcelona as they sum up their forecasts for 2017/18, but a big crack in the Catalan club's finances is only set to grow and requires 150 million euros of extra funding to cover over.

Typically, a football club should not be paying out more than 70 percent of its budget on player wages and it was only Neymar's 222m euro sale that prevented the Blaugrana from surpassing this precipice for last season's accounts.

In 2017/18, however, the forecast is that Barcelona's wages will take up a whopping 84 percent of the budget, leading to the boardroom scratching around for the necessary funds to cover the bill."

so.....

balls is it?

hmmmmmmm......

that club cannot afford to go buy greizmann for 100mil euros release and coutinho for 140mil without selling 7 or 8 players to reduce that wage bill and free up funds.

I see you've failed to deny a word of it :)

the REALITY of while you are trying this wind you've failed

the reailty is we are talking a FURTHER 250k per week to coutinho on this transfer and they simply cannot afford it until they clear out the dead wood.

And that brings me back full circle to the common sense approach says this will be done in june on January.

It’s anti Barca PR ffs, you were trying to portray the complete converse <laugh>

I’ve posted the reality, that being Barca’s wages to turnover ratio was 66% BEFORE the Neymar sale, yours was 69% btw

You’ve bought the ‘Barca are skint’ bollocks, hook line and sinker

I don't know his injury history....is it that bad?

I think it's more worrying that it's always the same, Hamstring or Ankle. His latest though was a shoulder injury and over a month off, his hamstring injuries tend to be a couple of weeks at a time but the ankle injuries tend to keep him out for a month or more.

do we really need to debate

WERE and ARE in terms of past and present tense.

As i said 80% of turnover not 69% i fail to see where you are pulling that number from . I just posted the barca projections as reported as a massive black hole in thier wage strucutre.

I've posted where that neymar money went to show WHY COMMON SENSE says its not available now.

Barca do NOT have the money. both wages and transfer fees to throw cash around without clearing the decks. there has been talk actually for YEARS of how the MSN forward line were costing them so much in wages they were struggling to keep up.

Messi is now the highest paid player on the planet, squarez and neymar were on about 275k per week or so. reports were dembele got something over 200k per week when he signed.

now you tell me one final time... if you can. just where barca are going to find the money to pay coutinho 250k a week and LFC 140mil this january without clearing out deadwood to free up wages and fees. :)

all i've said is common sense says barca need to clear the decks before this is happening. wheres the bullshit now?

You posted bollocks from Marca an anti Barca paper ffs, meanwhile I’ve posted the actual accounts not assumption based, biased, bullshit.

What were Barca paying Neymar btw? Sssshhh now, you’re embarrassing yourself

I didn’t post anything sourced from Marca though?

You wrongly assumed that Marca was the pro Barca paper ffs, and then proceeded to bury yourself

You’re either desperately trying to front out your embarrassment here, or you’ve lost the ****ing plot <laugh>
