This is the only concern. They've shown that they won't be bullied by other clubs. The final test for them would be to give Clement the £50m to reinvest.

I'm inclined to think that they wouldn't though :(

Have you read Lord of the Flies? Not really about post-apocalyptical issues, more about the innate savagery of man.

Tbf, it is set during an unspecified nuclear war, but the plight of children is nothing to do with that, per se. Did it for 'O' level many, many moons ago, but I still love it.

BTW, a generational thing: my daughter swears by McDonalds, her feller by KFC, my niece prefers Burger King... **** that - the chippy is the king of fast food, and always will be. Mind you, if they had a Greigs open till midnight...:emoticon-0110-tongu

True - there is the suggestion that no-one is looking for them because of nuclear war, but its themes are to do with the conflict between social thinking and individual power-seeking.
We did the play at school, it shows how much of an impact it had on me that I can even remember that from so long ago.
Probably the second biggest literary influence on my formative years, after Orwell.

Yeah, the beauty of Orwell's stuff is that they're written so simply. Timeless stuff. And I still get upset when Boxer is carted off. :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Can't beat a proper bit of cod from a decent chippy.

    Subway is pretty **** too.

KFC is clearly **** food but it's just ****ing amazing <laugh>

If you're pissed. Like kebabs - never touch them now that I don't drink, Had one once and hurled (but the six pints of Guinness and four Glenlivet doubles might have done that).
