Some online sites reporting Ox is signed for just under £30m with VVD due for talks soon. Don't know how reliable sites like 90 Minutes are.
Nobody will sign for anyone until the dust has settled on the European spots. VVD would be a massive signing for us as long as we're not buying a crock!
Thing with Ox is that does offer cover in number of positions. I think he looks good in CM being able to get the ball and drive forward with it. But he could go wide to cover Cout or Mane if needed as is tricky on the ball and can beat a man. For £20m I'd happily take him. He's not a star but we don't necessarily need stars, need players that'll fit the work ethic and give us different options and he's certainly different from what we have. With European football certainly need more bodies that won't weaken the first team.
Would spending £30m on the ox really be that bad? Isn't our money and that's the going rate for young English talent. He still very young and I think Klopp would turn him into some player. I'd actually be excited if we were to sign him
He is a very talented player no doubt. In my mind hes not got a brain so probably wont make it into that top bracket. He has impressed me this year though when all the other years I've thought he was a bit meh. Hes probably a player i would take a risk on but his injury record leaves a lot to be desired. Wouldnt pay 30 personally but dont believe its outrageous in todays market
Just hope he does not take Sturridges place on the treatment table for most of the season, assuming we get rid of Sicknote Sturridge
#as in i actually sent the details to BRB via resurgem and he sent the new password to me who then gave it to jimmy yes team work.
I dunno about internet site declaring a transfer as "done" in april. I am confident arsenal will have a lot to say about that.
