Liverpool will undergo an ambitious recruitment drive this summer, the club also want to sign Naby Keita from RB Leipzig. (Paul Joyce) Virgil Van Dijk is Klopp’s first choice for defensive reinforcements.(Paul Joyce) Liverpool ready to challenge Chelsea and Manchester City for the signature of Virgil Van Dijk, writes @TonyBarrett
I think its a classic lfc blunder. We have pissed about looming and now tbe guy has the rep he is never joining us even if we bid the 50mil.
Classic LFC blunder is to try to solve our problem of not being able to play the same CBs three games in a row by buying a CB who will be injured for 90% of 2017
VVD might be just a one season wonder and has had a bad injury as well. I would prefer Sakho back. Him and Matip would be awesome.
If Man City, Chelsea and ourselves are interested I can't see him joining us regardless of price. However, no way we're spending £50m on a CB imo
Hyypia was and Lovren is injury prone but neither were anywhere near 90%of the time. More like 20-30% Edit; Agger!
Hyppia wasnt that bad.... nowhere near. Only right at end of his career with us did he drop below 35 games in league each year. Agger was really bad i suppose. 50% of time or so injured. Lovren is not terrible you you are right he has had a few issues with muscle type injuries Sahko is prob worse if anything.
Barring the fact that van Dijks record at celtic and southampton before this injury was fairly bullet proof like... again rarely missed games
