A man looking down mid-stride and planting his foot directly underneath him (coincidentally on another players head) instead of in front of him which is where a normal running stride would land is hard to prove as intentional yet, a man using his arms to assist lift in a jump and intentionally smacking another in the face with his elbow is easy to prove
Unless it's suarez of course then dif story :bandit:

****ing parliament would have an opinion on it then :emoticon-0172-mooni<laugh>

He didn't plant his foot directly underneath him, I think you need to watch it again. The doubt surrounding the incident is that Rooney knocks into his other leg in mid air which would make it really hard for him to adjust where he is planting his other leg. As I was saying personally I think he's stamped him deliberately BUT there is potential for an argument to be made that it wasn't deliberate and Zlatan's head was just in an unfortunate position. With the elbow incident, its clear cut, he's gone looking for revenge and swung an elbow into the guy's face, there's no debate to be had.

Youre watching that with your United specs on as he's looking at the ball when he makes contact and it's not out of his normal running pattern. Not like Ibra seconds before which seems to have been overlooked in his attempted stamp on Mings. Now that was deliberate as his foot came down in totally unnatural way for a jump/running stride.

and jumping with your arm up and out is perfect fine... but no one naturally jumps up and the swings one arm back and to the side

You can't see it :bandit:

Liverpool are keen to make a move for on-loan Udinese goalkeeper Alex Meret in the summer transfer window, as per reports.
The Daily Mirror have reported that Liverpool are stepping up their interest in Udinese goalkeeping sensation Alex Meret. The Reds are now lining up a move for the 19-year-old, who is currently on loan at Serie B side SPAL.

Gianluigi Donnarumma may be the next big thing in Italian and European football, but there’s another teenage goalkeeping prodigy who is rated as one of the most exciting prospects in the country. That shot stopper is 19-year-old Udinese goalkeeper Alex Meret

Klopp: "I don’t want to make it too philosophical – the case is we are inconsistent. Sometimes probably, yeah, we don’t have the quality."

Asked if displays like Saturday made it more difficult to be “ruthless” in the summer, Klopp said: “I understand the question, and it’s a good question, because after the last game I was low, angry whatever, and I am not angry in this moment.

It is not that we are not serious in the things we are doing. The important thing in a development is that you take the information you get, work with it. Most of the info, you don’t like. When everything is perfect already, then you think, ‘yeah, well, ok, c’mon, done, now we can deliver’.

“And we can already very often deliver…. but I said in life, we are all a little bit like this, that we let the bad things influence us more than the good things, otherwise we would celebrate our birthday maybe longer than one day. “

I really think you are on a hiding to nothing with this one. I really dont blame Zlatan for the retaliation but it doesnt make it right, as i said the other day in true school yard style he started it by throwing Mings to the floor
Zlatan (who i really admire btw) finished it when his best defense he could muster was he headed my elbow. Said other day and stand by it straight red for both (so the 3 game ban) and no more :)
