Yes - he has lost his way but the kid is talented and we saw it first hand.

Not saying that we need him - but anything less than £20m would be worth the risk.

He is a nob who was badly advised and acted very poorly - but it's not all his fault IMO. Just needs to get his head screwed on and listen to the right people.

Looks like Mario has given up with Liverpool and is doing his own thing. If he was told he had a future, id like to think he would be acting better (I'd probably be wrong).

It's a shame - I was hoping Klopp could work with him for a little while but just get rid of him now. No need for him to be here.

Him being a knob is why I wouldn't want to pay a fee for him, but him being a #bottler is why I wouldn't want to even pay him wages.

Look at what he's done for the last 2 seasons and at international level. He's actually a disgrace and nowhere near the level of Benteke.

If we were getting the Sterling that we saw in 13/14 season then absolutely. Guy fitted in perfectly with Suarez & Sturridge and was just as key as Sturridge to that season's performance. However he's not progressed since then, he struggled for form the following year even though his goal and assist stats were still impressive for a guy under 21.. (think he topped the charts in Europe for player under 21 in terms of goal & assists combined).

Seems to have stagnated a bit last year and being resigned to the bench didn't help him. He actually started season well when we all thought he'd be on the bench, but then just tailed off. Still young and maybe was just to protect him, this year could be make or break. If he struggles againt his year I can see City looking to maybe offload, especially with them signing Sane who looks a direct replacement.

    How was he badly advised?
He moved to a CL club, got better wages, won PL, plays in the CL every year and is about to play for one of the top 5 managers in the world. Things can only get better for him if he stays at City

EDIT.........scrap that bit, was using foresight :emoticon-0100-smile

Nope, that's not how it went down.

He is in business with the agent. They specifically set up a new company as joint owners so Sterling could benefit financially as much as possible from the transfer.

He wasn't badly advised he was absolutely integral to the plan, had no intention of ever signing, and once the paperwork for his business finally came through he was off.

His "work with Klopp" comments were pure PR to try to stop the abuse he was getting from fans (not just Liverpool) every week. Also disgusting IMO as a dig at Brendan who made him.

Found this interesting from Klopp when talking about Henri Ryan.

"I had that player. If you have had players you know more about them. You want to learn about other players.

We didn't look for players we already worked with. If you do that you know their good their bad and wonder if they'll do it again. It's not boring but you know everything about each other so how can you develop? Where is the next push? The next development?"

So guess means we were probably never really in for Goetze either in that case.

You thinking he is actually going to feature much for city, is like you thinking Rashford is going to feature for utd.

I have absolutely no idea what players have in their contracts, but I'd have thought sticking to a healthy lifestyle and not putting your body to unnecessary risk would feature somewhere? No idea if they could be specific about ***s, but I imagine they could argue that he's conducting himself in a way that is detrimental to him keeping his side of the bargain.

You'd think an every day contract would prohibit people going to sleep too but unless it states "must not go go sleep" them the employer must prove intent.

    PS...don't use a pillow ;)

How would that fit in with skiing, scuba diving, rock climbing etc. All things that can have a dramatic and immediate effect as opposed to smoking which will not normally effect people until mid 30s.
