We've got a few of them and we already know Klopp will play them in slightly different roles too; Coutinho on left, Firmino up top, Lallana on right, etc

We have a lot of attacking midfielders/attackers and not so many defensive players.

Lucas might be gone soon too.

Truth be told our squad is too big and we need to sell some players.

We have no left side either. Completely unbalanced

I reckon so. He was decent in patches, plenty of promise. Probably will be a good player in a decent side.

Rafa will sort it though, the place is buzzing. No-one has looked forward to a season so much.

No matter what happens he will always do right by the fans, the guy is a class act. I was gutted when you went down instead of Sunderland.

Appreciate the kind words from some of you. <ok>

If Ashley had reacted a month earlier, I'm sure we would have stayed up. Rafa inherited a side with their confidence in tatters. He turned them round drawing 3 and winning the other 3 out of the last 6. The atmosphere at the Spurs game was bizarre! Sang his name for nigh on the 90 minutes. I think that had a bit to do with persuading him. He's got the whole fan base right behind him.

Knowing us, it'll end up pear shaped.

Anyone considered Coutinho leaving? He doesn't exactly fit in with Klopp's pressing approach.

Coutinho does work hard to be fair. The problem he has is that it's unlikely that he will play centrally which is his best area - Firmino is most likely going to be our number 10, and he can't play in a midfield 2.

I didn't see the Newcastle games when he took over but I presume he improved the defence?

Lets just see.

GK: Karius Mingolet
RB: Clyne Randall (weak cover)
LB: Moreno Smith (weak totally)
CB: Lovern Matip, gomez (on the plane)
CB: Sahko Klavan (unknown quantity as back up)

Theres balance there. the players aint great but there are left footed players aplenty.

Surplus: Ilori, flanagan, wisdom

CM: Can, Henderson, grujic, milner, stewart (weak back up here, i'd consider a couple surplus)

surplus: lucas, allen

All right footed no?

RW: Mane, Ojo, lallana
ACM: Firmino, branagan
LW: Coutinho, wijnaldum

Surplus: Markovic, Alberto

Wijnaldum added balance to the squad

ST: Sturridge, Origi, Ings

Surplus: Benteke, balotelli

Sturrdige is left footed

So I count 8 surplus players in our squad accounting for approx 80-85million pounds of resources

I peronally like the fact that flanagan was sugar coated but told stay home so really we want you to go on this loan.

He works harder than he used to but there are others in the squad that work harder. Plus, as you said, Klopp seems to prefer those others at No.10 too. Add in that Coutinho struggles to do ninety minutes and it doesn't look too good for the lad imo.

Obviously, I don't want him to leave, he's a quality player.

Balance isn't just about left and right footed. I couldn't care less if the LB is right footed or the RB left footed, it's about their quality in that position.

You've said yourself that LB is weak.

Neither Coutinho or Ninja are left sided players.

Ok then thats fine.

Wijnaldum has played left side a lot. he does add a bit there

I agree that IMO left full back is very weak and in the CM duo theres no left foot player
