Not happy with Wijnaldum. 25 million on a guy who wouldn't even start for us.

It's a lot of money but I would be happy to have him. Question is where do we play him?

He can play as number 10, out wide and as a CM.

Hitting his peak, scores goals and creates goals, powerful runner, versatile. He's better than Zielinski.

He isn't a bad player but like Jimmy says where would he play? We don't need any more players to play in the #10 role. So out wide or CM it is.

£25m is too high but it's not my money.

Wijnaldum, Hector and Klavan in <ok>

He's probably on par with lallana in terms of ability. I don't rate Lallana in the slightest, looked good in an average team and thats the same for the guy.

We paid 22 mil for Lallana which was too expensive and we're doing the same again.

Id say we would be looking at mane right side for sure. That put lallana on the bench.

Firmino i'm not really gone on yet. He did ok but has to step it up this season to be no 10. Wijnaldum could play here.

Coutinho is very hit and miss and hasnt stepped it up as i wanted last year. He would start for me but wijnaldum could take his place i suppose either.

It would give us enough competition for places at least. Quality.. not so sure.

I still think a can wijnaldum partnership wont happen.

I suppose a straight 433 might work better. Wijnaldum lcm, can at cm and then rcm could be a henderson.....

Said sinilar on toon board. Decent player, scored goals from midfield but can't really play wide or play in midfield 2, only really leaves him behind striker but we have four and firm and even Lallana who can play there.

Wouldbt say say no to him, although 25m seems right but I guess him for Ibe + 10m doesn't seem an awful deal.

I think he's better than Lallana personally - better technically, more output, faster and stronger.

Lallana does offer lot more in terms of work rate and technically I think very similar. Lallana with ball at feet is very goo, especially in right areas. I just wished he could add a few more goals, if he ackre 10 a season and sinilar ask says guy would be fantastic player.

Both players have accomplished nothing and don't improve our squad. If we sell Lallana and buy this bloke, we aren't improving the squad. He will be a bench player who will score about 5-10 max a season.

I actually like the player, if a deal can be done and if he wants to join, then why not, 10 goals from Midfield is not to be sniffed at!

I agree.. But just cos he's better than lallna doesn't mean he's good enough.

I find lallan vast over rated.

Yes he runs about and presses... for 60 minutes.. yes he looks good on the ball.. in certain areas.. but adam lallana is a botter. He had klopp up after 15minutes in the europa final eating him alive for going missing. he was first subbed and frankly he dances on the ball, does a cryuff turn every now and them over by the sideline on half way.. he side passes and he's lightweight.

Is wijnaldum any better.... I dunno. Is he better than firmino or coutinho... frnakly I don't know but I'm not really happy with any of them.

If this one is true it does bring Lallanas future into question.

You'd think but if the system is 4231 then theres 5/6 place sin a first team squad in that line of 3.

Now we must look seriously at what he is.

    1. youngest ever Feyenoord player at 16. played there 4 seasons and got 11 goals in 35 games in last season. won dutch cup

    2. Moved to PSV. played 3 years there. won dutch cup again and also won dutch league and captained their side in his final season. scored 14 goals twice in that time was dutch footballer of year that last year.

    3. moves to newcastle and scored 11 in 38 games in a struggling team.

    4. Is only 25 now. so is quite experienced and has a decent goal record.

    5. 30 dutch caps as well.

I don't really know after that.

    So:

LFC have IMO the following players for that line of 3.

    Coutinho, Firmino, Mane, Ojo, Lallana.

I don't know if it'll work out but at least he's not total trash.
