Really not happy with that, I don't care what we spend if we get the very best but feel we could get 2 or even 3 as good as Pogba for that money

For a midfielder it's odd as well. I know all positions are important, but hardest job on the pitch is putting ball int he net.. that's why the big money goes on forwards, Neymar, Ronaldo, Bale, Suarez etc.

Pogba has looked decent and to be fair, CM is a weak area for you so he'd clearly improve you, but will he make £100m worth of difference to you? Will he win you those big games with a moment of magic like a Messi/Suarez/Neymar will do? I'm not so sure.

I was thinking small ban, a way of saying "we ****ed up but you ignored our list" sort of thing, if indeed they do take it off the list.
If they decide it stays on then quite a lengthy ban, maybe 6 months.

Probably be more than 6 months. What did Rio get, 9 for missing one? The Chelsea guy got 2 years didn't he? Think if they don't take it off then could be looking at a ban over a year.

West Ham tried to re-sign Tevez, offered him £150k a week but he wanted 250k. Crazy money.... still a good player

Maybe, depends how they look at it
Rio missed the test so in their eyes could have had anything in his system (even though he volunteered to be tested the next day)
Mutu didn't only take a banned substance, he took an illegal substance (coke or heroin cant remember which)
They could look at a fat burner in two ways, as a masking agent or, as a chemical enhancement of the body (burning off fat instead of working to lose it).
You could be right about a longer ban but I don't think it will exceed 9 months.

Nearest thing to Suarez you could have found a couple of years back.

Yup, few of us said that at the time. Even with his United link, he ****ed you guys over so wouldn't have been huge issue moving here either.

Valses signed for Boro.. What a signing that is for them. Guy was Barcelona keeper 2 years back and now he's at Boro! Still in his early 30s so in his prime.

TBF...money isn't an issue with you guys...even if it sticks in the throat he was yours first...

Is it not, just like us...new manager, building his team and you gotta trust if it happens it's part of the plan? He'll build a midfield regardless of cost to try and win the league...and if he does...the money comes back...

That's why I never usually bother about what we spend, in this case though I don't think the player is all that special, I am probably in a minority with this from what I read :emoticon-0100-smile

I think he's good but still raw...at that time where he could be awesome or another sterling: ego before you prove it...so yeah 100m is probably a lot to take that on. But as we said...does a figure matter in football anymore ? Other than if it fails we get to take the **** out of each other <laugh>

Tevez asks Hammers for £250k-a-week
West Ham have made a sensational bid to make Carlos Tevez the highest player in their history - but the fans favourite has asked for a staggering £250,000-a-week.
The Irons have offered the 32-year-old striker a club-record £150,000-a-week, plus bonuses, to return to the club.
But Tevez, currently playing in Argentina for Boca Juniors, has left West Ham reeling with his wage demands

Re. Klopp contract, the cynic in me thinks that the owners are gearing towards selling the club.

There are strong rumours of interest from the Arab and Chinese, and given the redevelopment of anfield, mega TV deals, one of the best managers in the world tied down for more years and a weakening pound, we suddenly become a more attractive investment.
