True but you still got 10m. Considering this is a player you had left on the bench for effective 2 and a half years (with half of the years @ sunderland), wasn't exactly prolific, just because sunderland were desperate.

As MITO says its all about the demand and people will pay silly money if they are desperate and cash rich.

That was demand.. we were lucky sunderland were desperate.

I eman lets face it everton seem to think they can get anywhere from 60 to 75mil for lukaku who socre a total of 8 more goals in twice as many games for everton... like...

we just don't like him and thats just affecting our view so i hope the club is more sensible.

this means out net spend is now precisely one Mane..

we've seen rossister, vigouroux and sincliar leave to pay for karius bascially.

I have a feeling he will be in demand. Most teams outside the top 8 play to Bentekes strengths. It just happens that these clubs can now afford big transfers, Watford turning down massive offers shows that clubs have a LOT of money.

Benteke would be ideal at so many PL clubs. He's a goal scorer and proven. He doesn't fit our style but he'll definitely have clubs wanting him. He's actually a very good fit for a lot of teams.

I seriously wouldn't be surprised to see him go for 35mil.

Although I'd be happy with anything 25+

like... he might be 35 but i'd take 25?? that seems a buyers dream there?

as to who's made an offer... nobody.. obviously. that'd be like hmmmm who's made an offer for anyone unitl they actually make it.

West ham are like a mug at the local disco asking all the girls down the line even the fat one with glasses... they'll get knocked back down the line until they ask the bleeding fire extinguisher next.

Clearly not what I meant. What I'm saying is if we don't get too much interest I would be prepared to let him go towards the end of the window for 25mil to save wages on a player that won't get a look in now.

Like I said though I think they'll be plenty of interest and we'll move him on for good money.

The window is now open. I expect plenty of rumours with Benteke as it's clear the rags know he's for sale!
 
I think if there's brinkmanship from a club **** them.... the reality is however 90% across europe won't look at smaller clubs and throwing 30mil at batawhazzit by palace (if believed) was like no chance mate.
 
Just a word....

I heard from another site that the manager of peterborough was trying to sign a Leicester LB but can't cos Leicester are looking at chilwell being sold and will need the kid that the posh want.

So keep and eye out for chilwell in the shorter term.
 
Not fussed about Chilwell tbh.

We need to be looking for much better than Leicester's 3rd choice LB!
 
Well I am hoping that we are interested in Jonas Hector, its just that he is still busy with Germany for the next couple weeks.
