That's all well and good MITO, but he simply isn't worth £35mil. If he goes at £25mil that's probably still overpriced, because although he's good he doesn't fall into the £30mil+ category. We either take a loss or play him. We could get someone better suited for £25mil. I say sell and spend the money on another striker. They have to take the wages, obviously!
After all this talk of Benteke going, I'm now going to be deeply disappointed if West Ham aren't after Benteke at all
whats worth though... as a serious question... value: whats his value to west ham... whats his worth to us? my thoughts: 1. He's a player ideally suited to the game bilic has been playing. 2. he would seriously strengthen a team who's now going to be considered a top 4 rival! 3. its money money money time... everyones loaded. So you tell me... if he was back in the 1990s would he go for 3mil like shearer.. no but your valuation of 25mil... seems rather low if he send sup knocking i n25 goals for west ham and putting them 4th.... There HAS TO BE a if you want him you WILL PAY THROUGH THE NOSE cos you are setting yourself up to be a rial to us mr gold and mr sullivan... you are not getting away with playing poor relations and need a dig out stuff. Honestly we want any sort of shifting of balotelli as he's no worth to us but bentek has value to us in the squad... I'm sure klopp would want him gone but I doubt its no 1 or 2 priority to him. Just like joe allen, klopps actions show where he is at with him... but its nothing personal.
And for half the fee Untied would have paid for him.. Hummels to Bayern all but done as well! Gotze to Dortmund is no longer likely.. does that make him coming to LFC more likely?
I don't think its far fetched that you could get that sort of money seeing he cost you that much and clubs for whatever reason like to pay through their noses for your failed players like borini. However, it depends how the transfer market plays out and what Bilic wants. He's already got 2 good strikers in Sahko and Carroll (is he aiming to replace them). Then there is the factor that there will be quite a few strikers on the market who are also very good (in the medias eyes) and thus dampening the demand on bentekkers. - Bony class striker - Wally average but you know people will think he's class - possibly giroud - possibly ighalo - Berahino - Ighalo? - Ayew That's just in england....
He's done sod all of late (then again, hasn't been picked), also, is prone to the odd injury... BUT.... He played his best football under Klopp, so if any one can get him back playing at his best, it should be our Jurgen!
If he knocks in 25 goals for West Ham then yeah he's worth it. Knocking in 25 goals is probably going to be the problem though Simply put - We paid over the odds for a good striker. I wouldn't be too concerned selling him to a rival - he's hardly a Suarez. He doesn't suit our style so why keep him when we could get the majority of the fee back and spend the money on someone that fit's our bill. I don't think we'll sell for less than £28mil so for me it's a no brainer. I don't see the point in keeping him in a team that doesn't play to his strengths when we can get him off the wage book and replace him with someone that does fit our style. Going back to worth. He's actually quite worthless to Klopp. He's probably worth a fair bit to Bilic. Everyone's a winner
Yeh he hasn't played an awful lot of games for Bayern, he may regret going there, wasn't going to be easy for him to get into the team with the squad they have, plus like you say being injured wouldn't help him either. If he wants first team football (which I assume he does!) then he'll definitely be looking to move, lets hope he'd be interested in coming to us and working with Klopp again, because Klopp can definitely get him back to his best again.
true. Bilic looks a very organised defensive manager who lieks a big player. He's got caroll yes but he's unreliable (even worse than benteke) So: yes.. bony is bound to be tossed aside by city yes. walcot is wanted but reality check is he's not a striker no matter that the fruit thinks he is. no Giroud will be going nowhere imo Ighalo - maybe Berahinwho? Ighalo must be good... so you you named him twice Ayew.. yeah he looks to be on offer by swans Sahko is noisy but west ham have backed themselves into a corner now.. they've given their big talk so now thats the min fee.. so we should not lose money on it. unlike some who seem to think he's balotelli i'm quite comfortable for LFC to just take thier time on this and play hard ball.
Gotze and Coutinho fighting it out for the number 10 position - nice options tbf. Probably the big transfer/name that I see happening this window. Everything seems to point towards it. We'll soon see I guess.
ahem.... 42 in 89 for villa... struggling. first season inengland played 34 games scored 19 in league and 4 in cups... frnakly he's missed a lot of games and has at 25 still got up there in goals so I think its quite possible playing for west ham where they set up to supply him all day... yeah 20+ goals IMO. no he's not squarz but come on he was 65mil (or 75 with bribes) not 40... SO fine if klopp has showed his hand (and he has imo) that he wants origi more then fine get the best deal... and that aint south of 30mil... and it certainly aint playing 50k in wages so west ham's poor mouthing either.
I think Klopp will end up moving Coutinho to a more central role. We'll see. Mouth watering. I don't care what he does. If we have Coutinho/Firmino/Gotze in our squad they can play where they want!!!
