Some of us mouthy ones keep going on about him.

 

The problem with counting assists, is that an assist is only an assist if some bugger turns said assist into a goal. Our inability to score goals could have an impact on this stat. Good player, and if he wants to get back to Holland then we should wish him well. I'd rather he stayed, but he seems like a bloke who knows his own mind.

 

Fair play to them although they also have a dubious reputation for walking out of the stadium as early as half time when things don’t go well. There is another club near here that takes 15-20k fans away for Div 1 games but mentioning them would probably get me a yellow card (fair play to them as well though).

In other news, Dani Osvaldo is the finest player to ever wear the shirt and would still be here if Les hadn't made him headbutt Fonte.

He'll have a cracking season back in Holland. We must prepare to hear lots about him. No dropping from the radar for our Tad.

 

When we said a summer clearout was needed i was not expecting it to be a clearout of our best players; they are hardly in the VVD category.

We needed to add some creativity alongside tadic and boufal. As it stands both are off - and we wont be buying 3 creative midfielders now will we.

 

Dont be silly that would be easy and make far to much sense !

I've bashed Fonte a fair bit, but Dani was and is a far bigger twat than he'll ever be.

I have to say that I have heard this kind of comment from Saints fans so often but it always staggers me because during the last two barren seasons, Tadic has frequently been our most impressive forward player. I have frequently heard similar remarks about Tadic being poor yet over the last two seasons he has seemed as far more intelligent and sophisticated player going forward than anyone else we have had. I don't think that Nathan Redmond is anywhere as near as being as good at Tadic - a player who I would pencil in automatically on the team sheet perhaps more than any other. I agree that he has not been as good as he was during the first two seasons but I would suggest that his performances under Hughes were instrumental in Saints staying up. Tadic's departure is a disappointment and you wonder just how much his departure is reflective of the board's confidence in landing Maddison. For me, I would willingly lose the likes of Redmond, Boufal, Classie and maybe even the imperious but aging Davis yet losing Tadic seems likes a disaster.

The team really needed rebuilding after the departure of Koeman and I don't feel that either Puel or Pellegrino managed squads of the calibre of that managed by Koeman. In both instances, Tadic has been a key component and not really the kind of player we should be looking to shift on, even if £15 million is good business. I have not enjoyed the football produced in the last two seasons but I think Tadic has been a class above most of his colleagues.

I am expecting a huge overhaul of the playing staff this season and hoping that the team that lines up in August will at least be of the calibre of Dusan Tadic.

 

Yes but there is nothing else to do in Sunderland than watch the football or go looking for the Lambton Worm.
