The point is, why do all of our players always want to leave?

 

Cannot see how the club can expect fans to buy season tickets with news like this.
Even if we end up replacing Tadic with Isco, you’d think they would manage the timing of the news better.
Why have we become such a shambles?

 

My big worry is Tadic leaves, Boufal goes on loan and we bring in two attackers as replacements ignoring the fact we need reinforcements there anyway.

I keep getting renewal messages via email and text. Even had a letter today and a clock countdown text to tell me how many hours I have left to renew. With the slogan, Believe in the saints. Well Les @ co, give me and my 2 sons something to believe in. Until then no renewal.

They don’t. The idea is to moan about the players that stay and then when they want to leave elevate them to God like status and blame the board.

 

In truth Les has rarely been involved in the search for players. He is more likely to come in toward the closing stages to assist negotiation of fee and contract

 

e.g. Persuading James Maddison to sign for us, rather than Leicester? That went well...

 

There is a Sunderland fan in the holiday caravan next to mine who lives in his team shirt and tells me that despite being in league one they have sold over 20,000 season tickets. He also tells me that they are debt free and will be tearing up the divisions.

You'd have thought we would be used to a player asking to leave. Truth be told, Tadic isn't in the same league as Van Dijk, Mane, Schneiderlin etc and is certainly replaceable. Understand if some don't have faith in Hughes and the board to do that but it's still really early doors. I'm happy to wait and see what happens and believe Hughes can get more out of a still decent group of players than MP2 did, certainly.

 

I have absolutely no problems with letting Tadic go especially for £15m+ and wish him well
The last two seasons he has been very inconsistent and for me has been part of the issue rather than part of the solution
His stats aren't particularly good (I know how much some on here love stats) with last season 6 goals and 3 assists - for a creative midfield genius? Three assists!
I have found him so frustrating and has been picked week in week out and played in games longer than he should have even when his form was poor
If he wants out and the money is right then let him go but find a damn replacement (not Sisto please - Redmand part 2)

Precisely what I'm expecting. Not expecting the two attackers to be world beaters, either. One substantial signing plus someone cheap and unspectacular.

The Redmond - Wilshere - JWP axis behind the striker should really send our attack into overdrive, heh.

 

Dusan been tapped up possibly?, any Ajax players in the Serbian WC squad?....

I thought all that had ended when no Saints players made the England squad....
