Fair play to Tadic as well, must be taking a pay cut to move back to Holland and at his stage of his career he isn't just chasing money like a lot of players. Will play in Europa or Champs League every year as well at Ajax so have to respect his decision.

Now it is all about who we can get as a replacement.

 

I actually think he is pretty good, but at 33 and a holding mid is not exactly an inspiring signing. Actually he might be able to play CB as well.

Don't get why people are kicking off because we are letting a player go WHO HAS ASKED TO LEAVE.

Why do we want someone here who doesn't want to be here themselves?

 

So if that Telegraph article is to be believed then there's no truth to the release clause?

 

I wonder how sales are going? Would wager this will be the lowest we have since promotion.

Really sad to see him leave. But if its what he had planned, then he goes with my thanks. He was never quite as happy since Graziano left. But his end of season form was key in keeping us up.

Problem with Forster is his wage, will anyone pay it?

 

So if most/all of the above to leave, how many signings A) would we need? And B) will we make?

 

I'd honeslty consider letting him go on a free.

 

It's probably because he was our best player in our little run at the end of the season that kept us up. He is arguably our most talented player, he was our top scorer last season and has been the player with the most assists in every one of his four seasons at the club. And more than anything else, because nobody has any faith that the board are both going to replace him with the quality we need and also buy in the other reinforcements in the attacking third that we needed anyway.

 

Surprised West Ham haven’t made a move to be honest.

 

We have sold our best players every summer since returning to the PL. We got away with it for a couple of seasons, but last season we very nearly payed the ultimate price.

Now here we are in the summer again, and to date our only activity in the transfer market is to SELL OUR BEST PLAYER.

There is no positive way to spin that.
