From Whoscored Twitter feed - Only Morgan Schneiderlin has made more tackles and interceptions than Geoff Cameron in the last 2 seasons! Only problem is the tweet was 2014. Ben Gibson a much better prospect though IMO. Still think Traore would be an asset too.

 

Apparently Tadic is being sold to Ajax for 15M

 

I doubt that very much.

 

I'm hoping not, especially after losing out on Maddison. But Dutch press were reporting it.

They quoted a release clause.

 

If we put a release clause of that size in a new deal what, 2 years ago, then the board are even less competent than I fear... and I have a fairly low opinion in that regard anyway.

I'd be astounded if there was any truth to this.

 

If there is any truth to the clause then I really have lost any faith that I had left from the last two years from the board.

We are potential turning into a laughing stock.. where did it all go so wrong.

 

This release clause was mentioned by the press in the January window - £13m if I recall - so it could actually be 15m euro that Ajax have offered. Or it could just be could be a rumour based on a rumour

Suggests there's an agreement he can leave if we had an offer of 17m euros (15m pounds). Their DoF, Marc Overmars, has been over here to seal the deal.

Dusan is 30 a month or two past the start of the new season. Ajax are offering a four-year deal and a shot at the Champions League.

I suspect this storey is true and wish him well as the pre ported contract for a four year deal when you are nearly thirty with only two left at Saints....it's a no brainer from his point of view
From my point of view he has been a decent player, at his best under RK playing with Pelle but has been a little hit and miss for the last two seasons and looked a very forlorn figure at times last season
Good deal for all parties as long as we replace him

 

This is why I did not give a **** what Tadic thinks about Mark Hughes.

It’s actually not a terrible price. Would have liked a few million more but then I’d also like to replace Tadic with someone younger so it’s not the worst thing ever.

Good luck to him if he goes. Can’t blame him for Moving on at this point in his career.

 

We March On. Oops. Better change that to We Sell On. I despair. We seem unable to persuade anyone to join us and yet here we go with another summer of losing our best players .

 

Another £15 towards Quincy Promes price, shift Boufal for about the same and that's nearly covered the whole cost with enough spare wages to sort that out too

 

Normally, I wouldn't despair about losing a nearly 30 year old who disappears for weeks on end. But I was really dubious that we were going to bring in the depth and quality we needed beforehand, and now we apparently have another to replace. If Boufal leaves as well, we need...three attacking midfielders, at a minimum?

 

Not a shock if Tadic leaves (despite him being one of our better players last year).

Not a shock we haven’t signed anyone yet.

7 weeks until the window closes.

 

Now this would make me sad. Tadic hasn't been at his best, but not sure we have played to suit him....or many other players for that matter. Was looking forward to a good season from him. However, if he is being sold...am glad it is abroad...as I'm fed up with seeing our players elsewhere in the PL.
