We shouldn't be too upset if he takes time settling in;)

Have West Ham finally got their act together with the appoitment of Pellegrini and their signings in the transfer window so far. If so, then SFC are being left behind by WHU and Leicester, or so it seems

I almost posted this same thing yesterday. Yet more evidence that we slide towards lower tier EPL obscurity. What is 'the southampton way' again?

He's a decent player but Wilshire is Arsenal. He will move for money and play with no heart at a club he doesn't care for.

Talk that Mark Hughes is happy to keep Matt Targett. He did well for Fulham last season and I would be happy to keep him. He did well for us a couple of seasons ago and has no doubt progressed since then. The suggested valuation is just ludicrous...imagine if we wanted to buy an England U21 player with EPL and Championship experience...do you think the price quoted to us would be 2.7 million? He's well worth keeping for another season or two....especially as he knows the club and we know him.

Shouldn't worry....if he moves just for the money he won't come here. I wouldn't be that disappointed if he came here....but he won't.

He will end up either at West Ham or Everton, we will not pay anywhere near what he wants.

He played with plenty of heart at Bournemouth.

I don't get the sneering - I'd be delighted to have Wilshire at Saints, provided he's put his oersonal problems behind him.

I don't question Wilshere's heart; I question his quality. He isn't terrible, but he isn't good enough to be a focal point in attack, and he lacks the awareness to be a more complete player.

French press reporting that Snidders has been told by Everton that he isn't wanted there and he is in talks with Marseille. Such a shame to see such a talented player's career slide.
One of the best alround midfielders I have seen at Saints

He was great for us, and he was poor at Utd and the poor scousers, but Marseille is good club for him high up in the French league. I’d suggest they are better than Everton, even with a smaller war chest.

I disagree with that assessment. I'd rather put my faith in Wilshire to be our missing ingredient than I would in Boufal, for example. And I like Boufal.

You can't have too many naturally gifted players imo, & Wilshire is definitely gifted.
