I know Hughes had massive bad press from his last few games at Stoke (quite rightly from the outside looking in) but I see this as a bit of a transition club for him in the same way as it was the FLGDC.... he had nothing to lose and everything to gain. I desperately hope he injects the same passion and fight into the players as he did in the last 6 games. Although people ignore what Spin Doctor Ralph says; he does mention playing for wins not draws... if Hughes buys into this... at least the entertainment will go up..!!

 

A win = 3 draws. Sometimes you have to go for it...can't play with fear as we did under MP2.

 

The entertainment couldn't possibly go down. Its a nice slate to start.

I haven’t moaned once yet this pre season so things can’t be that bad!

 

I'm not even oveely bothered while the WC is on tbh. If we sign someone in the meantime then great but I'm not gonna worry myself about it.

I won’t moan until the window has closed and we’ve once again failed to strengthen where we need to. I can understand all the jitters though because we’ve seen it all before and this time we only just survived by the skin of our teeth so the need is even greater than before.

 

Other half is away on holiday with the kids, peace and quiet!

 

Although the Bank he got the loan from is in Hong Kong, which is part of China. And he actually did the transaction just before the major crackdown came into force. So I'm wondering if he had to pay for the club using money from Hong Kong but can service the debt through his income in China somehow as technically his debt is in China? As i said i'm not at all an expert in big financial transactions in china and its loopholes so i don't know. I just know that the crack down came because lots of chinese businessmen were buying up foreign assets and it makes more sense to me than other theories. Once the debt is gone he can then use the club to back other dealings outside of China is what ive been thinking his plan is. But i'm just spinning a yarn and trying to connect small bits of information.

Accrington announce signing of Will Woods (think we already knew that ?)...the interesting thing was that Wood trained with Portsmouth and was thought to be going there (at least according to rumour).
