I wouldn't be totally against Cameron. A decent cover for CB/CDM. Won't get Saint Gaston levels of anticipation from me but I won't call Les a stingy ****er for it either.

 

Has the been a link to this Cameron rumour? I haven’t seen one yet, just talk.

 

I'd be thoroughly against it. We don't need a sixth-string CB/fifth-string DM as cover. We have too many overpaid backups to the backups of the backups at those positions already.

 

Personally I would love us to sign David Cameron. Could go hours without a toilet break - unlike that bugger we sold to Palace. Sorry it's late and there is sod all to get excited about

 

I thought the Cameron 'rumour' was just to playfully alarm people, earlier in summer before we went and signed 4 players

 

In football parlance, when Lemina first played for us he looked quality. Certain he would go to Scousehampton and we would make a trillion per cent profit. What has gone so wrong in such a short time.

 

As I said...he got us to where we are can be taken two ways...a positively way or a negative way [emoji6]

Very good mate and a Saints fan. He’s also a fan of St Pauli out there and said that HSV have been trying to palm this guy off to then for ages.

 

I think you're being a bit generous to Gabbiadini there. He's only done that once in 18 months or so. He's scored 10 other goals for us and they're almost all poacher's efforts (getting onto balls in behind the defence, getting to crosses ahead of defenders and/or turning and shooting in the box).

I agree we need another striker, preferably someone to be first choice, but I'd start Austin as striker ahead of Gabbiadini. Having said that, I've said for a while that I'd like to see us try starting Gabbiadini wide on the right and give him licence to drift central. I suspect we won't do that though - Elyounoussi will presumably start on the left and I doubt we'll play two wide forwards who both look to cut inside.

Totally agree, we need additional players at the other end of the field...... Striker(s) and attacking midfielder(s)!

 

Geoff Cameron is also 33. I literally so no reason to be interested in signing him.

 

As long as the opposition players are asking him to ‘stop making a fool out of me’ then we’re onto a winner fats.

Not really transfer news, but article from the Echo talking about Boufal still looking for a move. The club pride themselves on also looking at character, but made a mistake with Boufal. There may be playing reasons why he couldn't show us his best, but, when things go against you, you need to knuckle down and try harder.....and not be disruptive when things get tough. It wasn't as if the fans turned on him....no one particularly blamed him for the trouble we were in.
