Bournemouth are preparing a bid for league 1 top goal scorer Sam Baldock to replace Cardiff bound Lewis Grabban.

P'boro have let their captain Tommy Rowe leave on a free, been there 5 years. Got experience in champ + league 1, and he's only 25..

Admittedly I've never seen him play but surely we should be looking at players like this.

A winger isn't he? could be what we need

Sky Sports understands a number of clubs are eyeing moves for former Dagenham & Redbridge goalkeeper Chris Lewington.

Lewington is available on a free transfer after seeing out his contract at Dagenham.

The 25-year-old joined the Daggers in 2009 and went on to make 143 appearances during his time at the club.

Lewington caught the eye of clubs higher up the football pyramid during his time at the Victoria Ground and his availability on a free transfer makes him an attractive proposition.

The likes of Huddersfield and Bristol City are thought be keen on Lewington as they look to bolster their goalkeeping ranks.

'A winger isn't he? could be what we need'
'winger/midfielder/fullback according to wiki'

Come on Guys, be serious - we've got the amazing Wagstaff.

I hope we don't lose Baldock, not only is he a good goalscorer but he's a good leader and as one of the more experienced players in the dressing room provides plenty of leadership and role model status. However, everyone has there price so if someone comes in with £1.5-2m then I think we'd have to start looking for a replacement.

Bristol City are understood to be monitoring Elliott Whitehouse after the midfielder was released by Sheffield United

Whitehouse, who captained the Sheffield United side which reached the FA Youth Cup final in 2011, spent periods on loan at York City and Alfreton Town last season having failed to command a place in the first-team squad.

Although York, who investigated the possibility of renewing the 20-year-old’s agreement midway through the campaign could be tempted to resurrect their interest, City are believed to be contemplating the possibility of taking Whitehouse to Ashton Gate - John Pemberton was Acadamy manager there so knows the player

Contrary to Sky Sports story, ex-Dagenham keeper Chris Lewington is not a target for Bristol City. More agent-induced garbage! #bristolcity
