MILLWALL have been dealt a blow in the transfer market after learning that loan star Chris Wood has agreed to sign for rivals Leicester City.

Both clubs had bids accepted by West Brom for the 21-year-old but the Lions have now conceded defeat in the race to land him, with the striker set to have a medical in the Midlands on Thursday.

NewsAtDen understands that boss Kenny Jackett has elected to send Wood back to the Baggies immediately and will not play him against Cardiff or Bristol City before his loan ends on January 1.

The New Zealand international had previously stated that he would "definitely" sign for Millwall if given the opportunity, but the Foxes have convinced him to move to the King Power Stadium.

Chairman John Berylson revealed earlier this month that enquiries have already been made for other targets and Jackett will now begin to set the wheels in motion on other deals.

Why would Bristol city want an other striker when we've got 4 of them all ready! If we want to sign someone it will have to be a winger in place of adomah who is going to the African cup of nations. Apparently we mite be signing Bradley Pritchard or Jerome thomas when his loan at Leeds expires on loan.

He will be gone, But wasn't it for something stupid like 30k?

Very bad from our board if this is true, Someone should be fired

Defenders is what we need

Shiny's comment was copied from the transfer rumour site, some dick head put the comment underneath as they read it as we were after Chris Wood, when all it mentions about us is that he won't be playing against us <doh>

luke young (qpr) set for bristol city talks

bristol city has offered 2.5 mil for neil danns

2.5 million for danns. Bloody hope not, he isn't that good. Also the Lewis Grabban rumour has picked up and hit the OTIB

Also wouldn't mind having Young at right back, Think albert would thrive more with an experienced Defender like LY behind him. Would be 1000x better than Foster
