So at the moment our best XI is

Gerken

Edwards Carey Fontaine Foster

Adomah Elliott Kilkenny Pearson

Stead Pitman

You got a lot of work to do del <laugh>

Love your joke Wize but did you put it in the wrong thread. For me it is especially funny as I'm probably one of the few City fans who can pronounce this Welsh village name.

Reference the transfer front, I'm sorry that Ribeiro has never fulfilled his potential and hope he does well for someone else.
Even though this is one of the largest list of end of term departures, I believe the squad is still too large, and with 22, assuming all who are offered contract renewal take it up, it leaves very little room for newcomers.

We still need a very good dominating centre half - not convinced about Amougou, would prefer McManus, a left back, creative midfielder and another quality striker. DMc mentioned in his interview this afternoon on City's web site that he will be hoping to get Lewis Carey a loan deal at higher level then Gloucester City so add an incoming experienced keeper.

That's 5 more on top of the 22 so do we not all agree that;
Several of the 22 are not really up to scratch eg Stewart and at least a couple or more of others?
27 is too large a squad for us?
I know DMc will not give a number for the recruits he wants but unless we get 4 to 5 better players than current squad, we could be looking down the barrel again next season!
Thus I hope that we may see some more leaving.

Shiny, what about Cole Skuse? Better than Marv? I would think so.

Agreed, Skuse is definately my preferred option. Can pass with both feet, reads the game well and got the pace to keep up with players breaking through the middle. Looks like he could become a very good box to box player.

Oh **** yeah forgot about skuse...

But he wont get in the team ahead of my marv, so ill drop kilkenny for him ;)

Poor bluebaldee,

The sags wont be getting any new players this year.. they did their bollocks last year and the pot is empty.

Don't need any - all our players are ace now. They were ****e, but now they're ace under MM <laugh>

Anyhow, 'begetting' means to father or sire. We may be desperate, but I doubt that even Higgs would ask our players to actually sire new players for the coming season......I think.

well your current lot should see a comfortable top half finish, Where are you hoping to finish next season, and please dont say you will walk the league

Begetting, dont know what you mean? <whistle>

Matt Harrold going to Sheff Weds may bring some money in.

Higgs only shags Donkeys and you have plenty of them already...

Well I was pretty certain Ribeiro was going to be going but it's still a damn shame regardless. I wish him the best for the rest of his career, same for everyone else who's been let go, and that this injury woes are behind them.

So that's...

Weight. Dead. Removed.

If only the our city could remove some dead weight of its own, we might progress.

Here are some other names I've heard:
Christopher Telo of IFK Noorkopping
Murray Davidson of St Johnstone
Scott Loach of Watford
Michael O'Connor of Scunthorpe
Jason Steele of Boro
Gary McSheffery of Cov

Anyways we're going off topic talking about a team in the 4th tier <laugh>

I've heard ross wallace, but was on the football rumours website so is probably ****e, he's on 15k a week at burnley iswell

Bristol City will have a battle on their hands to keep hold of Midfielder Cole Skuse after his recent run of Goalscoring form.

Reading, Norwich and West Ham have all declared an interest in the Bristolian.

well thats the trick, kiddos, score 2 goals in back to back games and a bunch of premier league teams want you.
