btw, Brexit is causing all sorts of problems for clubs particularly of our size. The big clubs are going for the most talented and proven players therefore there is no issue with the points based immigration system but clubs like us look to invest in unproven talent and hope to grow it and this will make it much more difficult to do business and the small number of deals throughout the league is proof of that. possibly through time the avenues will be clearer i.e. maybe an academy will be set up in France as an example. who knows?
Henri Lansbury anyone? I honestly can't remember too much about his first spell with us, but apparently we are in a race to sign him... https://footballleagueworld.co.uk/stoke-watford-join-championship-rivals-in-race-for-midfielder/
Would not be one of my first choice signings. Has done nothing at Villa in the last couple of seasons. I actually thought he had left them last summer. Did well for us on loan but that seems so long ago now.
I think this site is being rather hopeful ! https://lastwordonsports.com/footba...e-gray-and-matej-vydra-could-be-on-the-cards/
But Garner and Gray out and Vydra in would be perfect for us and it would be good for Pedro to learn from Deeney and Vydra together
Garner off to the Florists apparently - and Bristol City claim to have pipped us in 'race to sign Lansbury'. I'm not sure there was a race - but if there was, I doubt we were ever in it.
No - just another rumour. Forest set up like we did under Ivic - to sit back and contain so see if he does any better .
GD permanently joined Udinese. Shame but not surprised really. Obviously made it clear he doesn’t want to come back maybe?
From what I've seen of him this season, he's been far from impressive. Maybe his injury has had an adverse effect on his playing ability?
I would point out there is a limit to loans so maybe just helping both Udinese &Watford bring in other players on loan or purchase. If he gets back fitness he could still come back to us if he wanted to but currently underwhelming in Italy.
Surely not - he's not a left back. Although he has been known to score a few - maybe we see him as a striker...
Well he probably wouldn’t do any worse. Was a highly rated player at Plymouth as a kid. Moved to Newcastle too soon maybe .
Linked to Matty Longstaff again. Glenn Murray going to Forest on a permanent deal. Leicester want Chalobah apparently!
