As it's a tad quiet on the transfer front I thought I'd surf the net to see if I could find any rumours. What I did find is a dedicated NCFC rumours site, a complete load of tosh but amusing anyway. Check out the 'banter' page, one or two nice compliments there. A bit worrying that the Everton fan is so impressed, as I think that this is the size of club that PL may well move to eventually as his next 'stepping stone' on his way to managing Bayern Munich. ;) However, having said that, you never know the way things are progressing at the moment that might not even be a sideways step for him let alone a step up !

the jan window doesn't usually kick off until the last week of the month, most clubs are quiet tbh. The Swans have brought some loanees in. QPR are desperately trying to buy anything that moves <laugh>

we could do with a couple of rumours to ponder though.

The only rumour I've heard is that Jonah is taking an anger-management course <yikes>

In all seriousness, adam clayton (yes leeds midfielder, not u2 bass player) would be a quality addition to our squad. hes been superb for leeds this season and is looking the part for the step up. the only obsticle is a certain ken bates and a stupid fee proberbly!

Obviously there has been a lot of rubbish spouted (Mat Hummels) but the ones I keep hearing on different sites that could be true-

Jordan Rhodes - Huddersfield - Would love him but don't think we could compete with wages, or bid enough to get him.
Matty Phillips - Blackpool - Would love him but again don't think we could offer enough of a transfer fee.
Nicky Maynard - Bristol City - Looking for a way out and I think we could get him, don't know if I'd really want him,
and also heard Swansea mentioned, and think that would be a good fit for him.
Robert Snodgrass - Leeds - Would be brilliant, but think we would be outbid, I really can't see Leeds letting us take 3players!
Will Keane (Loan) - Man Utd - Apperently a very good prospect, would be interesting but I think we need Defenders.
Nathan Delfouneso (Loan) - Villa - Possible, but again, another striker.
Jay Rodriguez - Burnley - Would love him, and possible, but some of the fees being mentioned are rediculous.
Frazer Forster - Newcastle - Forever mentioned, top class Keeper. Not essential as we have 2 fantastic youth Keepers,
but would be very nice.
Lewis McGugan - Forrest - Not now we have Howson.
Chris Gunter - Forrest - Good player and I think we could do with some competition there.
Liam Bridcutt - Brighton - Kind of hardworking player I think Lambert would like, doubt in this window, as Midfield is packed.

On the way out-

Holt to Rangers - Nope.
Pilkington to Liverpool - Nope.
Morrison to Villa - I can't see him hanging around if he gets a bit of success, but can't see him going yet.
Crofts to Brighton/Wolves - Can't see it, and very much hope not.
Ward on loan to the Championship - Possible for a short loan for fitness
Wilbraham to Ipswich/anyone who will have him - I really hope so in this window. Cut wages and open a position in the 25 man squad.

Neil.
