I agree: that's a strong trio but I meant that the cover - Madsen (pathetic) and Dembele (injured) - isn't there, unlike the rest of the team now.
Ah, got you. Sorry, misunderstood. I don't even think Dembele is a CM really. Anderson is probably the backup for Morgan and I still think there is a decent player there somewhere - no idea why he's fallen out of form so badly. Dixon-Bonner ahead of Madsen for me too.
He's lost the little pace that he had, which makes him predictable to play against, subsequently affecting confidence as he cannot impact a game in anyway. He was instrumental in keeping us up, so I will give him some slack as long as he only comes on when we are 3-0 up in the 90th minute!
Wilder has said they have formally bid for a CD. Not said who to my knowledge. Hope he has spotted Dunnes great stats have come from the RB position not the CD
London World says it is Dunne...but if you watch what Wilder says...he says he has put in a bid for a CD...and has alternatives under it. It could be Dunne definitely. I am sure he has considered Dunne. We can only wait and see. I cannot see how we will decline any serious money if it is offered. Dunne will get a promotion medal and a salary increase I am sure...but he will be dropped next season and spend it on bench imho
But it won't be offered. Have no doubt they will pay a lot more than we will and if we want to keep him we need to start talking at least. I have to hope that the silence is merely because they are talking and keeping their cards close to the chest. If they ain't what incentive does he have to want to stay? You are of course right about his future there next season. Wilder is no different to any other manager who achieves promotion. The majority of the players who got the promotion are 'upgraded' by seasoned PL Pros who are supposedly better. Rarely to good effect. The club is still likely to be relegation fodder
WLS say we have reject Sheffield United offer. They may come back They have other people in mind Just get him to sign a contract
If Dunne does go, and the cash may be tempting for him, I would be very worried indeed to be relying on Ashby as our first choice right back. I've seen him play several times live and he is an accident waiting to happen. Indeed, it has happened on more than one occasion: misplaced passes, over-elaboration, unnecessary fouls in our own penalty area etc. To be fair, he has often played out of position as a left back but, based on what I've seen, I think the issues are there wherever he plays.
I want none of this flash foreign muck, get the ball and bloody punt it forward! Good luck to him, hopefully we've found a gem.
