Yeah, that story was repeated by the Sunday Times today:

"Tim Ream, the USA international defender, has agreed a deal to join Fulham. It is news that will surprise their championship rivals QPR, who believed they had all but signed the Bolton player at the end of last week. Fulham came in for Ream on Thursday, agreeing a £1.75 million fee that could rise to £2.2 million, and offered the 27 year old better personal terms than those offered by QPR, whose manager, Chris Ramsey, told the media on Friday that he believed a deal had been completed for the player."

Read profile of him it said his favoured position was left full back, just what we need,
but would not be surprised if KS played him in a position of his choice,
( fingers crossed on this one)

I read that he's usually a centre back, but is capable of playing anywhere across the back four.

We need more than just one, ideally we'd get dunk or tark alongside him as we've got no depth in our defence and it would just need an injury for us to be in trouble again.

He'll be on the right wing then.

According to The Sussex Argus Brighton have turned down our £5m (our third offer allegedly) for Lewis Dunk.

If they have turned down our 3rd bid I'd seriously move on. All it will take is for Dunk to say I want out - we haven't heard a word from him. Looks odd on the bench last 2 games and they've singed 2 defenders since our interest started.

does he really want to play for us? Probably not. I would now look for someone else.

Is there any chance we could be looking to bring in a striker? With Smith now out injured for several weeks, I can't say that I'm full of confidence that Dembele, Woodrow and a so far out of sorts McCormack can score the goals to take us to where we want/need to be.

I'd be delighted with Lescott. I'm going to visualise him playing alongside Ream tonight and see if comes true.

As I said the Dunk saga was odd. Signing a new 5 year deal. Well played Dunk you got yourself a decent deal obviously.

With the window drawing to a close we need to put in some serious bids.
Or in the last couple of days we could sign unsuitable players that no one really wants and
their agents are desperate to offload.
Bidwell & Tarkowski of Brentford spring to mind as suitable candidates 5/6 mil the pair ?

We’ve apparently switched our attention, again, and this time to Watford’s central defender Gabriele Angella.

please log in to view this image

The 26yr old Italian signed a new 5yr deal with them but nevertheless can’t get in the team. Valued at around £3m he’s banged in a few goals for them in the last couple of seasons - 9 in 75 games, which is not bad for a CB.
