The start of the season was notoriously difficult for Malky spending £8 million on a striker at £45,000 a week and only months later telling us he was one for the future. Another one for the future he got was the Slovak. jck
I feel in quite a few games, notable against teams around us where a win was a good possibility, that we have played with the equivalent of one hand tied behind our back. OGS seems to want to unfetter those chains. Cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war
Ummm... yeah. He told everyone in the country via the British national media. Leon Britton would be evens to join if enough punters put money on it.
Ince already turned them down in the summer, how come everyone bar me on this board has completely forgotten that Ince went to Cardiff, held off for about month and then said he would rather stay at Blackpool?!
Then didn't join any pl club but stayed as the only decent player his dad had at Blackpool. If Paul hadnt been managing them he'd have been telling Tom to get the **** out of there as its a club with few prospects. I think his new kid did have something to do with it too.
Haven't forgotten that at all but life moves on as will Ince at some point - and this could be that point. Given our injuries would love him to come to us, but have to say that Cardiff must be looking an attractive prospect for him as well!
He deliberated for a long time then said no, would you still want him to come? He would have known the situation with his child before Cardiff approached him and that seemed to be an excuse to deflect him from the media speculating he was after a big money move to say, Liverpool, who were rumoured to be after him. But nothing came of that. I ask in the same way that I don't want my club to go after Iago Aspas, I am not convinced that Ince has it in his heart to be at Cardiff and Aspas to be at Swansea. Wouldn't it be better to look for players that would wear the shirt with more pride?
If you'd said that in the first place we could have agreed. If he joins then fine, but I'd much rather we pursued other targets. I'm not convinced he'll be on our list anyway tbh and 8mill is plenty for him based on this seasons form.
Somethings wrong I agree with Project. Ince was hoping for a club like Liverpool or Everton to come in for him. Didnt happen. Let him stay at Blackpool or go elsewhere. He made his choice in the summer.
Maybe he made his choice through footballing reasons but didn't want to hurt Malky by telling him defensive football didn't suit his style
