My point being that any manger will strengthen. Bruce isnt going to try and be 17th. You never set a mark at just what you really want. Johnbo could be correct, but you do not know he is correct bc every manger wants to strengthen. You both assume thats why he wanted Long and you may be correct in that assumption. But it is just that an assumption, you can not say for certain what Bruce is thinking. You can though say what you are thinking and how you feel about it. Gedo has a 1 in 3 club record and a 1 in 2 international record. He had 5 goals in 6 games for us before getting injured and trying to play hurt to help us go up. I am not saying I think that he will score enough to keep us up, but with that record I would hope that we give him that chance before we all slag him off like half our fans are doing to him on twitter.
Sorry ellewoods, but I think you read too much into it. If there is one thing abundantly clear it is that the whole point of the Long fiasco was to strengthen and we failed in that respect; no assumptions there, just good old common-sense! Gedo' s stats are what they are, fine; I watched in a league lower and he did not inspire me, as he seemed no better than Fryatt and the whole point was to improve for the PL. He will get his chance to prove his doubters wrong and good luck to him; anyone slagging him off are probably just the usual Twitter twats, which I stay well away from.
