    He played for them in the 2nd half of the season (they signed him from Celtic during the Jan transfer window that season). Goal and assist on his debut against West Ham.

    @Fourth_Official seems to be very confident that we're signing Maynard! would everyone be happy for Saints to spend £4-6million on him?

    Unfortunatley, I don't think either of them are good enough and one may be on his way. It's tough on them but we are a club in a hurry it would seem and we've got money to spend

    I don't know anything about Fox, but based on his position i wonder if Dickson has fallen out of favour? Have heard on here that we have some promising youth players coming through that play LB and although Harding seems to split opinions among fans he is generally a nailed on started for NA. I can't see why we would just need more competition for places at LB so do people that know more about Fox expect him to be a regular first teamer?

    Am still hopeful that we will bring in a top quality CB; my main concern being that if Fonte gets an injury we would look much less solid.

    Burnley fans seem really annoyed about this, great stuff. £1.7m apparently, they signed him fo £1.5m!!

    On Player, Fox comes across as articulate and very happy to be here. Spoke to Cork who couldn't praise Saints enough. Has EPL and SPL experience and played in both Burnley's matches this season, so their first choice. Happily, for me and Jen he's also raised the crumpet quotient.

    Have also heard that lots of betting shops and sites have slashed Saints odds of promotion!! Bigger Signing on the way possibly!! What a time to be a Saints fan!! BUZZING!!

    Had a bit of a research, he was in the championship team of the season a few years back with Coventry. To my reckoning this is our 5th left back!? Harding, Dickson, Mills, Reeves and Fox?
    Exciting day to be a Saints fan though :) next one please Mr Cortese!

    There's a delightful irony about Howe losing a good player to us, though do have to add I think a lot of that nonsense last year was probably more B'mouth's chairman than Howe himself.
