The few times I saw him I thought he was pretty decent on the ball for a big guy, and if he does come back it would be because Gus thinks he can adapt to his style of play.

Sunderland will also listen to offers for summer signings Charis Mavrias, David Moberg Karlsson, El-Hadji Ba and Cabral, all of whom have been used sparingly

Didnt we spend a combined 5-6 mil for Mavrias and DMK? I thought the whole point of the development squad was to build them up and make a profit. For 2 players who have probably not even played a combined 90 mins together, i can't see it to be honest. These 2 and Ba will be here for the foresable!

At the moment, i'd still dump them all except Colback. Not saying they couldn't do a job, I just don't think their wages represent their level.

He was playing in direct style of play though, He was very effective at using his strength and pace to bomb through the middle in his natural game. Don't think our new patient style suits him, he's got a touch like an elephant too. Would be a good impact sub when we want to change things but he's too cowardly to sit on the bench and try to win a place on hard work and merit. all opinions of course, just think he'd be out of his depth.

They have PL experience though. Most of the people we have brought in recently and will bring in probably have none. You can't put underestimate that, for me.

Very true, but it doesn't outweigh the ridiculous money they're on for me.

Can't really see them being on much, to be honest. But the Udinese model we are pursuing means we develop players and sell at a profit. Perhaps they think there is a sales profit to be made already?

Who ever goes lets hope the funds are released fully for better players.

This might be the start of the player merry - go - round at Sunderland.

    Ever onwards!

I assume they've been playing in the ressies so you'd have thought that Gus will have spoken to Bally to find out his opinions?

Maybe Kev doesn't rate them either.

But what philosophy is Kev teaching them?

Anybody watch the reserves? What style of football are they playing?

Haven't a clue mate but you'd have thought that Gus would be wanting them to play the same way as the first team so if they do make the step up, they slot straight in.

    In theory like.
