More rumours circulating on Twitter of Leicester and Liverpool ramping up interest in Brady. Who knows if any truth or simple 2+2=5 after his Euro antics

There's sure to be interest in him no doubt - he was one of Ireland's better performers on a big stage and I am sure he'll attract a lot of interest as will Jeff Hendrick.

Just like Redmond, I think we were all pretty much resigned to losing Brady, even before we imploded last season. What becomes important now is a) how much we can get for him and b) what we use the money for.
And if it's Dwight Gayle, I shall cry, scream, get horrendously inebriated ... but not necessarily in that order <yikes>

Yep - the Gayle rumour gets it's third outing I believe ...... us and the Nukes interested so they say.

I reckon we could get £12m for Brady if we played hardball but knowing us we'll sell him for £7m, a pound of sausages and free tickets to Bottoms Funfair.

Gutted to see us losing players like this. Redmond and Brady we could build a team around. It's fair enough breaking records for money from selling players, we have to replace them. I'm not seeing any exciting names linked. O'Neils gone, If we lose Howson or Klose, I'll really start to worry. Gayle would be decent in the Championship, I don't think he would improve us massively. A few kids who wont be first team regulars.

Gayle isn't related to Shola, is he? Rapidly becoming the press rumour of choice for us.

    Bah!

Yes, FML my worry and I'm sure it's the same for most contributors/fans is that where are the replacements and how much of the circa £20M just for Brady and Redmond be spent on recruiting new players!!!! I'm hopeful that AN will at least try and recruit a decent CB and a decent striker for that money!!!

And don't forget with the sale of our first choice wide men, at the moment it's looking like Jarvis one side and a Murphy on the other <yikes>
Clearly will need two width players as well as the patently-obvious-for-three-seasons-now centre back and help for Jerome up top. Best we start as soon as that there window opens - and have fairly deep pockets!!

This is what worries me Cromer, but I'm hopeful that both will be able to 'step up to the plate' and so leave us more funds to improve our woeful CB players (unless Kolose stays!!!) and then spend some serious wedge on a striker and not one who can't even make the first team on a regular basis, or is over 25.
We HAVE to use this season as an opportunity to develop/rebuild the team if we're to have any hope of becoming a semi permanent fixture in the PL. <ok>

As far as losing players FML, I believe Redmond is the only confirmed departure as we speak. Yes, Brady will in all probabililty leave but he's under contract and should command a large fee.

You say that you haven't seen any exciting players linked to us, well that's hardly surprising is it?
We are now a second tier side in complete chaos after going down with a whimper, with no CEO and a rookie manager who's just out of short trousers, what do you expect ?

It's going to be a long hard season and for the first time in many a year I'm not looking forward to it kicking off, mid table finish for us I reckon <ok>

There are plenty of exciting young/decent age players in the Championship. I'd like to see us bidding for them!

Nick Powell is on a free. Surely worth a punt? Massive potential to fill if given the games and belief. Players like Alan Judge, Will Hughes, Lewis Dunk, Harlee Dean, Jake Bidwell, Woodrow, Dembele. Rico Henry, Danny Bath, Iorfa. Those kind of players I'd like to see us making moves for.

For once KIO, I tend to agree and my major concern (apart from not having a CEO) is that I expect we'll see a maximum of 50% of the transfer fees we've received spent on new players!!! <doh>

Kinda agree KIO - we'll be top 10 for sure but I can't see us making a serious challenge unless we see a change in options and less reliance on the old guard which is where I see the ship sailing.

What is the situation with Mbokani now? He is a free agent and I have seen no reports of any interest is him anywhere. In my opinion he is superior to Jerome, as his stats from last season prove. He could well be immense in the championship.

I'm sure he will be picked up by a side in a top league in Europe. I agree, I really like him and think he would be a beast in the Championship. His style and physic would suit it very well. I just don't think he'd be interested.

Not sure he is a free agent. Our agreement last summer was reported as "loan to buy", and transfermarkt list him as having a contract until 2017. I don't think he has any plans to play in Ukraine next season, so probably a loan deal or sold at around the price we'd agreed.

At 30, he's hardly finished but at the point where he's short on resale value, so for the ~£5m he'd cost, plus large wages, I think we'd be better suited looking elsewhere. It wouldn't surprise me if he's no interest in returning anyway.

He is definitely a free agent DHC. He is contracted to Dynamo Kiev until June 30th and they have made no effort to retain him. Not sure if the "loan to buy" story was true. Why would we agree to buy someone who would be out of contract by the time we did so. Unless DM was losing his marbles.

On the subject of DM, I feel that us not being able to buy certain players we were interested in could possibly be laid at his door. He certainly played hardball in transfer negotiations and this could have put players, and their agents and clubs, off, resulting in failed attempts.

Now the Euros are over - for Engerland at least, I'm hoping we're going to start seeing some new joining the ranks at CR.
I don't want any more players 'for the future ', but rather players who can fit instantly into the first team squad and are an improvement on what we already have!!!
Pretty much accepted that Brady will leave, but if Klose decides to leave as well - l fear for our goals against total in the forthcoming season.
