To be honest mate, I'd rather give you a go, rather than see Bassong and Turner again.

To be fair, Turner and Bassong had an 'agreement' of sorts over, what was it, 2 to 3 games where we had, I believe a clean sheet in there...somewhere...?

It'll be interesting to see where Redmond ends up, but we'll probably never know the price, 15% of which will go to Brum. If it is £10m or more, it'll go a long way to supplement our transfer budget this summer. If Brady leaves for big bucks as well the money will be even great to improve the quality of the squad with the strikers and CB's in particular.

We have spent money and ended up with flops RVW The Belgian Naismith?
    Those 3 cost £23-25 m combined.

Just say we get £8.5m to spend from Redmond £8m for Brady £5m for Jerome £21.5 m there's no way of knowing if the players we bring in will be flops again where as we know Brady is Prem quality Jerome will be good in the Chumpionship and Redmonds price will only increase .
Redmond is slightly different because he only has a year left but keep the other two .

I'm totally disillusioned with the club, which is currently bumbling along like a rudderless ship.
No footballing nous in the boardroom, no CEO (I appreciate it takes time to get the right person in), no cohesive strategy for a tough season ahead, with sales and recruitment being farmed out to third parties rather than dealt with 'in-house' and in terms of squad depth...well hey, let's flog Brady and Jerome (as well as Redmond, who we all kind of knew would be off) but retain all the garbage like Whittaker and Turner <doh>
The words 'brewery' and 'piss up' spring to mind fairly readily :emoticon-0106-cryin

I like Vadis. Think it's hard to call him a flop. Cool be a big player this year.

I agree Cromer and looks as though we won't be back in the PL any time soon if this is how our board are going to handle this transfer window!!! <doh>
We REALLY need to get organised and start identifying who we want to sign to at the very least keep us in the Championship!!!!

If players want to leave we have to let them go - an unfortunate fact flowing from player power. Redmond needs Premiership football to push on with his career. Brady left Hull, who didn't want to sell him, because he wanted Premiership Football - why shouldn't he do the same to us? Jerome is strange but equally if he wants to go and won't sign a new contract what can we do? These players are facing a pay cut if they stay so who can blame them if they want to go and earn more elsewhere?

If they're on a long contract we don't have to let them go and as for the poor little darlings getting a pay cut tough, the answer is play better and don't get us relegated.

Bray only had 1 year left on his hull contract so Hulls hold on him was significantly weakened.
And let's not panic peeps, I see the hire of the agencies as a plus. Getting people in who know their trade. The window ain't even open, if we've signed no one by 10th July then panic! But let's not worry just yet.
    Bah!

Can you vouch for that, general? I only have Ed Balls assurances to go by as things stand.
The whole set up just smacks of desperation and panic, to me at the mo. :emoticon-0112-wonde

I'm with GM on this one. The transfer window doesn't even open until 20 days from now. The club has an internal team in place which AN has expressed full confidence in. To that they have now added external consultants to deepen the search for new players and get the best price for any players leaving. That makes total sense to me. We know our club never announce interest in players until they are signed, yet one very dubious article from the very unreliable source that is HITC sends some people into a 'desperation and panic'. Every year this happens and some people never learn to wait until the window is actually open. Panic if you like, but I won't.

I'm always amazed how folks get so hung up what other people think. We all think differently, some optimistic, some not so much. It's the way we are, is that hard to understand? I do get fed up with it.

I never panic about transfer windows, but then, of course, I never have high hopes, so never disappointed.

Right now, my opinion is that we're in a big mess, not like that's never happened before. <ok>
