Remember we'll have more funds to spend than just the ones gained from Judas' move.
I would love:
Gamiero - 10m
Gervinho - 10m
Hubnik - 5 m
+ Lualua, Fergie, Airey, Vuckic, Inman and Richardson to get some games.

Airey
Vuckic-Inman
Fergie-Richardson-Lualua anyone?

It doesn't say 'shared evenly'. It could be (theoretically), Gervinho £10m, Samba £6m, Jarvis £4m, Elmander £free, Larsson £free.

I'd be fairly happy with £20m, though as people are suggesting that could be on top of our normal transfer budget (say £5m). If Enrique leaves (hope not) then it'd probably be for around £12m so then we're looking at a lot of money to spend, enough for a quality striker, a decent left back and a few other players who would improve our first team.

I'd be satisfied if this was true.

A large part of the Enrique money would have to go on a LB though

This but more, Looking at the actions of our previous transfer windows, if we can replicate them to a higher degree (i.e. more players/higher quality but still value for money) I'd be over the moon!

What annoys me beyond belief is that we got £35 million for Carroll and saved £9 million on wages. That's £44 million. Yet we're expected to see £20 million on players. Even if we spent £24 million on wages (which is a big whack in itself) that means Ashley clearly doesn't have any aspirations. Seriously no transfer money, despite finishing midtable in a season where 17th was our goal. If we finish 11th isn't that something like £5 million more than if we finished 17th? Yet Ashley is gonna take that away for his pocket <grr>

Add in player sales though, including wages from the likes of Xisco and Smith would make up 100k a week.

Considering our owner is Mike Ashley, £20 million is pretty good.

Another excellent article from Louise Taylor, which i totally take as 100% gospel ಠ_ಠ

I love how she states things as facts while offering nowt to back her claims up, not even the usual 'unnamed source'.

Good, I dreaded what we might get when they said the money will be invested into the club. How many promoted teams do you see spending £20m+ in their second season?

Sorry, but when you're revenue is as good as ours, it shouldn't matter if we're just promoted or not. We're gonna finish in a solid position in the table, which will give us a nice amount to cover some costs. We've just got £35 million plus bonuses, whilst saving £9 million in wages. Add in the wages saved from Routledge and Xisco (about £3 million) that's £47 million. What have we spent? £5.75 million on Ben Arfa. Don't get me wrong. Great deal, but really? Hardly shows ambition. If I was playing for Newcastle and didn't have any connection (a la Harper) I'd be off.
