I disagree with the idea that we’re all mercenaries. It's simplistic, devoid of nuance and ultimately cheapens us. Yes, obviously most people work for money, but that doesn’t mean profit is the sole driver. For example, I know tradesman who consciously avoid over inflating quotes, often offering discounts to older or cash-strapped people out of moral decency. I also know public sector professionals, highly skilled individuals, who choose roles that pay a fraction of what they’d earn privately, precisely because they’re committed to giving back to society in some form.

To suggest that everyone is simply acting out of self-interest flattens the moral and relational dimensions of why people do what they do; and often is just an excuse of the super rich.
You mean like footballers spending time at charitable events and giving up their time for fans? You can still be charitable and try to get good money at the same time.

These things should really be quick to remove. Seems quite unfair to have it drag on.

****s

I'd absolutely love to get this lifted and see us sign some players this window.

I also think the punishment for a first offence is absolutely draconian.

However, by the clubs own admission we breached the rules. Chances of it getting lifted/reduced are slim.

Chances of it getting lifted quickly are sod all.

Acun’s told the Turkey party there’s no financial issues

Nothing to see here....

TBF if there are no financial issues it's one of the few positive bit of news we have because the transfer embargo, threadbare squad and willingness to let anyone who fancies it leave are all a **** show enough <laugh>

I don't disagree with anything you have said.

I just think if they can slap them on you with short notice, then they should at least be prepared to briskly get you through the process.

None of that factors in we are the problem here though.

Didn't realise or contemplate that could be possible - thanks for the insight.

Absolutely amazing cars ( untill you need to pay for the engine rebuild )
Rotary engines, they thought were a thing for the future, unfortunately another Betamax bites the dust
The first one I bought was parked with a wheel on a weight bridge on Cleveland street. It was owned by my mate who had a mot station there. **** me it span almost in a full circle when I tried to shoot off ( show off lol ). That car was absolutely rapid, had a list of 5/6 that wanted it but I managed to keep it for a month. I had a car lot back then, loved that car….

I had an RX8 as did some of my mates, every single one of theirs needed an engine rebuild due to the rotary seals going but mine didn't. I used to squirt some oil in the fuel tank every time I filled up as this apparently helped keep the seals intact.
Smoke a bit mind ???
