Again, I am not arguing about that, late payments were acknowledged but it isn't a crime as far as the EFL are concerned. The suppliers do not appear to have taken any action and now are paid so its dome and dusted. It's not going to effect the embargo decision one bit UNLESS there are ccjs which it doesn't seem to be the case. It will be cold hard facts which as it stands we have only 2 made public, Barry and burns.

That, in my opinion, is why Acun and 'the club' have been quoted as saying they expect the embargo to be lifted.

No one anywhere has said all suppliers have been paid. The suggestion is that some have. Not all.

They are confident it will be reduced but not necessarily lifted according to Baz.

And irrespective of the appeal, there's no compelling answer to the concerns raised about why, if there are no financial issues was this allowed to happen?

Yeah but baz is just reporting what we’re saying on here

He should not be entertained at this Club.

He's clearly a mercenary and probably thinks he can put in a minimum effort for maximum reward...Needs ditched NOW!!
Thing is he would probably command a fee of a couple of mil if he wasn't on a free. He knows that and is just trying to get what he can in a short career. I agree we shouldn't pay it but understand why he is asking for that sort of money as over 3 years it would still be good value taking into account there is no fee being paid. We just don't need someone on that sort of money upsetting the other players.

how do you work that out

he's been promoted multiple times so hardly someone who puts in no effort

What he's done in the past has got absolutely no bearing or connection to my statement...

But anyway.

I work that out because 'I think' if he gets his way wages wise,he has us over the proverbial bonnet and will visualise himself as some sort of demigod on 3 or 4 times the wages some of our regular players earn, bad idea, bad way to recruit

If you want mercenaries at the Club and that's all he is, that's entirely your business,I don't,that's mine.

hes free to ask whatever wages he wants
its the club to decide, its simple as

trouble is , thats where we are at the moment.
people know we can only get freebies, so they are going to try and milk it.
and to be fair any free transfer worth having is going to have other suitors so if we cant compete with a decent signing on fee we are going to have to give them too higher wages or be left with a load of ****e nobody else wants.

I agree with this DJ but we do need to be careful here.If the £45k is near the mark,it's a lot of money over a season(close on £2.5 million).

It's a big commitment for a Club in our position financially and aspirationally.

Ultimately It'll be what it'll be and we'll find out soon enough but I don't think he's worth that wage.

They are all. Mercenaries.
But then again are we all mercenaries too.
We get what we can earn for our families.
To call mcburnie a mercenary is pot/kettle.
If we believe he can improve us and get some win bonuses going, then the other players will benefit from that. We can't be that far away with what we thought he would come for. £37,000 a week anyone
