Maybe he's saying that because everything is actually 'fine'.
I put 'fine' in inverted comments because of course it's a bad look. But maybe it is fine in that he still has plenty of money to continue funding us. Maybe it is just temporary cash flow problems or maybe **** ups by those supposedly handling these things for him. It's odd don't you think that as soon as the Barry payment became an issue it was cleared. Same with the Burn one. How does that happen if there's no money? Maybe with the cleaning contract there is some dispute, hence the change on contractor. Fact is, at this moment in time we just don't know. He needs to come out and clear things up asap now. I'm a little surprised and disappointed that he hasn't done so by now. TWT.

This is not a **** up I think , it’s a situation where the money coming in or available is not enough to make us viable and the current events appear to be the consequence - it’s caught up with him .
I think he’s played fast and loose with many suppliers ( clubs included) and been caught out .
I hope he can redeem it otherwise it’s going b to be another wasted year / or more and I’m getting old !!

Acun has now brought 2 managers in just over a year on what looks like false promises.
Two managers and their coaching staff aswell as all their families have all come from another country,
I think it’s really poor to move these people here on empty promises and no chance of doing the job

Occom's Razor. The most obvious answer is often the simplest one. Acun knew what was going on, he signed off on the deals, he lied. Or at least he answered in such a way that if he was asked about it again he could use plausible deniability and simply claim that wasn't what he meant or that he was misinterpreted.

The answer is either he's a ****ing idiot or he's lying to everyone. Those are the two options based on the evidence we've seen in public. It doesn't fill me with great joy to say that, I don't want any of this and I really wanted Acun to be the man to lead us forward. Hell, he's a likeable bastard, but he didn't get to where he is today by just being a nice guy. Nobody worth hundreds of millions does. I mean, are you telling me a man worth $200m and has signed countless multi million pound deals ****ed up by accident multiple times in the same manner? Like ****.

We want to like him because of the **** we went through with the previous owners. But just being "not Assem/Ehab Allam" isn't enough (as nice of a start as it is) and I think he knew this. He was able to come across as Mr Wonderful because he was offering free flights for fans, bringing in the crowds, paying amounts of money and wages for players we hadn't seen since we were in the Premier League. All of that exists with a back drop of the Allam's acrimonious tenure, so of course he's going to look ****ing amazing, it wouldn't occur to anybody that he's actually incompetent/capable of lying/narcissistic because we wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt after years of pain. He's smiley, he's affable, he tries to come across as an open book, but people like this, especially those who spend time in the media, are great showmen.

Whatever happens, the truth will out and I hope I'm so wrong I end up being shamed off this board and into some random seaside cottage in the Outer Hebrides, but I think those saying "it's just a little mistake, it's still good, it's still good" are just huffing the copium a bit too hard. This is a **** up, you're allowed to be pissed off. Surely people aren't so tribal that they'll forgo common sense and honesty to maintain a delusion because it feels better to live in the dream than face reality?

Calling for Acun to leave doesn’t solve the problem. There’s no queue of prospective billionaires liniing up. If you are right, then all that we are looking at is points reduction and then relegation. And then possibly years of no investment as prospective consortiums fail to meet the criteria.

Nothing new...The vast majority of small businesses fail, because their Debtors don't settle on time, causing cashflow problems. In layman's terms you can't pay your creditors. Vicious circle. One solution might be to sell the debt to a company who specialise in such transactions, but of course you'll do well to get 60% of the total of the debt.

Regarding a detailed statement. I'm of the opinion that if Acun was to issue said statement face to face so to speak that would be a mistake. Some have said here that some of what he has said in the past may have been misinterpreted and any such address could be confrontational with an audience, even journo's. Thats not to say he doesnt want to put the clubs side in word, but that perhaps, someone trusted could represent all of the issues and explain exactly where we are. As it is, Acun might well benefit from keeping a low profile if at all possible.

Decent,well respected poster is Toastie.I don't always agree with him,nor he with me but I was on the cusp of hitting him with a 'like' for his post(one or two lines stopped me)...

I'm glad I never now that you've labelled those who liked it as *annies.
