Can I ask a question of the ITKs? I have been out of the loop for a bit and only started logging back in regularly at the end of the season. There has been some general references to an interest in the club from a consortium led by Ehab. Maybe I’m just being hopeful (or misunderstanding things completely) but would someone be good enough to clarify the position regarding this and/or if there are any other potentially interested parties in taking over the club? Sorry if all this has been said before. UTT
Mike White says his source within the club has told him that some of the suppliers are owed six-figure sums by the club and have threatened City with legal action if they’re not paid.
Yes. He would have reported it earlier but he was too busy having a **** over the number of clicks he was about to get
Keyboard malice from some of the City softies Or did you mean malodourous? Cos there's some right smelly ***** on the thread too
This is the part if it comes out to be true that’s totally unacceptable. I remember when Portsmouth went tits up years ago the long time staff some who had been there for years and even the local newsagents where owed cash but where at the back of the queue behind the players who where guaranteed to be paid.
If you read back, I did a long post about how frustrated I was that we have found ourselves in this position. However until proven otherwise I'm waiting for evidence that it’s more than just a temporary cash flow problem.
This of course proves nothing at all but there seems to be a Clifford cleaning service in Lincoln, so I'm guessing it could be his company . Ships not steadying yet, looking forward to the upturn though!
Even if it is a temporary cash flow problem, and said problem is eased by the first round of TV money being paid to the club in the next month or so, aren't we just going to be back in the same hole in 2 or 3 months time? Seems to me that Acun can no longer afford the fund the club and IF that is the case then for me he should come out and say so and say that he is putting the club up for sale. If he did that he would get a lot more respect than he is doing at the moment through saying "everything is fine"
Who said the players are owed anything? As far as I am aware they have been paid up to date - or have I missed something?
