I've not once called him lazy, i'm just saying that he's not the 'sprint like a loon for 90 minutes' type that we've got currently.
Siggs is a journey man at the end of the day and if the price is right from any team we will sell. That i have no doubt about but it has to be worth while deal that will see us pick up a good profit....
Not once called him lazy, but when you say that Okazaki's workrate is "1000 times" better than Sigurdsson's, that is a pretty strong implication if you ask me! But by the same account, neither did I say you called him lazy, I just made a generic statement that "people" can have that assumption about him that because he's a tidy, effective, purist footballer, he must have a workrate like Ozil - if you aren't one of those people, that's cool. End of the day, he isn't a 'sprint like a loon for 90 minutes player', you're right. Definitely not a fit for you guys. I think we're safe from him going to another big club to sit on the bench after his Tottenham debacle, so I think Swansea's main worry for Siggy will come from the continent following the Euros.
I could see Everton replacing Barkley with him. Although I agree that a foreign club is more likely. He's a tremendous talent, I remember him tearing us a new one for Reading (I think it was his last game for them) and he looked every inch the 8m Hoffenheim paid.
I can see him there too - but given that it looks like we might actually still finish above Everton this season (despite the season we've had), I'd like to think he's better than a sideways step. If he wants Europe and a first team spot of his very own, he'll have to look Spain/France/Germany to get it probably. Be nicer if he stayed for another season though...to help us challenge you for the title next season!
When we get our new signings in this summer then we wont sell siggy or any others that we dont want too because we are going to do a Liecester ourselves next season !
We don't have the stadium to generate the atmosphere a big stadium does to do what Leicester has done and i doubt very much it will happen again if ever. Get the right manager who will bring in a minimum of 6 players and we may challenge for a European place but i don't think Jenkins will bring in a new manager and it will be much the same as this season...
Oh Dai Dai Dai mun dont be scared have some faith go with the positive vibes/flow for a change ! What will be will be and being anti all the time is not good for the state of mind, go towards the light side you know it makes sense you plonker !
I notice a few on here seem to think that Leicester are going to be raped by other clubs at the end of the season. I really don't see that happening if they end up champions which I definitely think they will. If they finished outside the top 4 then probably as other clubs can offer the more than just salary. But by being able to offer Champions League football along with increased salaries and bonuses for this year and next it would take a lot to prise them away. Only clubs like Madrid, Barca, Bayern (outside of the Premiership) would be attractive but who would the likes of Vardy and Mahrez replace anyway? ( as good as they are they aren't better than what these clubs have already got).
It is a freak season where everything turned to gold....it wont happen again. they will lose the big stars should a big club come calling im sure of that...
Siggy has scored 6 of his 10 goals in Guido's 10 games in charge . 2 goals in 7 games with Curtis . 2 goals in 15 games with Monk . Interestingly , soon as Shelvey left Siggy went on the rampage scoring .....one of the intangibles of the transfer ,
siggs is the favourite of any of our players that will be wanted and as a journey man he will weigh up any offers he gets.
I agree Phil, he ahs had his fingers burnt want and will not want that again. I believe Mahrez will definitely be gone, and can see vardy on his bike, Leicester have been superb this season and I hope they go on to win the league, next season will be a different matter and they will do well to finish top 10. they will have Europe to deal with and that will not be easy. Siggy is going nowhere.
