It's good to like apples. Who wouldn't like apples. Apples are good. I like good. Good is good. Love the Drake! Oh .... huh? Ok. The Drake is bad, Hate the Drake!
I have scanned the Polish press and attach this detailed article (in Polish) http://www.sport.pl/pilka/1,96012,20626772,transfery-pawel-wszolek-przeszedl-do-qpr.html The key points of interest for me are: - Paweł is extremely enthusiastic about joining QPR to develop his career - he started that QPR were "very determined with the transfer" - there are no after effects of his injury and he fully fit and ready to play - he is currently with the Polish national team preparation camp (note: he received a late call up) - QPR sent a medical team to Poland for check him out Plus, he stated the usual brainwashing spiel of: England is the home of football, QPR are a Club with great traditions and great fans, the Championship is a very strong league, QPR are currently 5th with ambitions....
Anyone heard if Sandro is still with us? There were late rumours he was trying to sign for Bologna before the deadline.
Levy and 'arry are on an island somewhere laughing their heads off over that one. He's played in (including sub appearances) less than half the games his teams have been in since he came to England. Two knee ops and however many other injuries later he is effectively dead weight.
I'm not sure that Levy is laughing today. How dare Everton meet the Newcastle asking price & force Tottenham to pay £10 million more than Levy wanted to! But your right, he will look back on the exit of Sandro with fine memories!
I'd rather freeze him out than have him as first choice knowing he'll break down every few games. We've got three good central midfielders and Henry already. No need to throw our eggs in the broken Sandro basket.
Plus he may well be in the 'bad egg' camp. Freeze out may, faintly possibly, lead to him asking for a contract cancellation on vaguely reasonable terms. Quickly, hopefully. Am I right in thinking that as a free agent he can sign regardless of Windows (subject to squad number restrictions of course). Retained Caulker, which JFH wanted. I think we can pretty much say that he has the squad he wanted now, so let the criticism begin. Let me start. Overall I'm pleased but mystified by the absence of a natural RB.
I would have thought a RB would have been a priority, maybe JFH tried to sign someone and it didn't come off, who knows?
Possible they have one lined up for when the loan window opens? There's still no number 2 in the squad!
I think Sandro is actually the kind of player who could always step in and play. So he could easily be back up if you want to concentrate on the players we have for the future.
I am more than happy with what ALL have done at the club this transfer window. Like a lot of people I would have liked a right back, as I don't rate Perch anywhere. Let's see where we are come January as I think we go again then.
Yeah, I've just seen that too, the rules changed in the summer. Must have been a plan that fell through then!
Kakay is a natural RB by all accounts, despite the fact that he played further forward against Rochdale. Hopefully he is sufficiently highly thought of to have made a further signing unnecessary.
You know... at the end of the season when his contract was up I thought we really should sign him, on lower wages of course. But now that we're several games into the season and with several good wingers I feel that a) he may not be needed (although could be an asset if last seasons form would continue) and b) he might upset the cart a bit seeing as we're looking ok and have a well established team now.
