But where would he fit in. Bruce seems to like three at the back, with wing-backs. And they've just signed Diame to join Huddlestone and Livermore in the centre of the park. And Hernandez to join Jelavic/replace Long up front.

And if they add Ben Arfa to that equation too?...

He's more chance of playing in the hole in a free role in what you've described than with us. That's his best role.

This tbh, I am starting to think though that we aren't in a position to have real strength in depth (obviously not to a Chelsea/City level, but 2 good players in most positions) as we can't guarentee players enough games who reckon they could play for other Prem teams.

I don't get why Hull would want Gaston AND Ben Arfa (assuming the latter happens). Surely they can't accommodate both in their line-up, but at the same time surely they would have had to promise each regular first team football, otherwise there is little joint in them going there.

Wage bill.....have we have anybody now whose on bigger wages???
