When the bottom club gets £94m Forget about the title or the CL, the biggest prize in the premiership is STAYING in! When bread and butter players are going for £20m-£25m and Leicester are triggering a release clause of £38.5m then we know that the premiership is a closed bubble. The other european clubs can only look on and wonder what's going on and where will it stop.
Are you serious? No way!! If thats true, then the £89m + ££££ agents fees was worth paying. From a commercial POV the club was onto a winner.
It will defo be gross. But a huge proportion of that will be profit. even at one third profit (these shirts cost a pittance to produce) that is £60m +.
Erm, yes. But it will be profit for adidas. Remember, that £75m a year they pay us to manufacture and sell our shirts. It wasn't a donation out of the goodness of their hearts. In return, they get that £190m. All of it. We might get a bit of a bonus based on us probably selling more shirts this year than any club ever has. But it will probably be of the order of £5-10m, no more.
