Just heard on Talksport that WBA record signing is Shane long at 4 mil as the owner doesn't believe or want to splash out huge sums of money and to be fair they have done alright over the last few seasons!

Just found this on the Beeb

1011:
CHIMBONDA WANTS A CLUB
BBC Sport's Neil Johnston: "Former Tottenham and Wigan full-back Pascal Chimbonda, who was a substitute for France at the 2006 World Cup final, tells me from Paris that he is still looking for a new club.

"The 34-year-old played pre-season games for non-League Market Drayton and Colwyn Bay but is now keeping fit with twice daily gym sessions. He says there have been talks with a club abroad 'but nothing concrete'.

"Chimbonda, who helped Tottenham win the 2008 League Cup, says he is prepared to return to England and would sign for a League Two club 'challenging for promotion'. He says he is not asking for 'huge money'. He is available on a free transfer so he can sign after the 23:00 BST deadline."

Oh dear...

He's not the only one-Luis Boa Morte has just signed for Four Marks, in the Hampshire Premier League, on the 11th tier of the football pyramid!!!

El Hadji Duff available for transfer or loan. In other words McDermott wants the 'effer out.

I hope we see a lot of Stoke

I'm wondering who the marquee signing is going to be. To my knowledge, we haven't signed one this Summer yet.

TF likes a bit of publicity by signing a former big name.

Crouch or Defoe possibly even though I can't see Defoe signing for us. I hope I'm wrong as he really is top class for this league and would really make us feared amongst our rivals.

He said we were going to sign players who were going to "blow our minds" and that clearly been bollocks so far.

Adebayor and BAE on loan would probably fit that bill.

Had a horrible moment when I saw that Faurlin story on the last still-frame! Quickly realised my mistake.
